False promises and harassment when you cancel the contract if you dont like their service

I took ADT system for my house from a dealer (Rising Star Marketing). The service didn't function for initial 8 days and sent him a notice to cancel my contract on 9th day. He took 100$ in cash (to avoid HST) from me to put up some fancy touch screen system . Now he is harassing me by saying that he will spoil my credit if I don't go with contract and says he will charge 199$ fee for removal of the equipment. His system was not fully functional from day 1 itself.

Moved now my credit is ruined

We moved before 3 year contract done. Very confusing who has the contract alarm guard or adt. No one was ever able to help me. Made several calls this is a huge waste of time. Long story short worst company to deal with no one wants to help. They want you to pay for service you don't have! Then they ruined my credit!

Adt refuses to cancel even if you are moving

So I decide to cancel my alarm services cause I'm moving and also cause their service sucks. When I called they told me I'm stuck in a 3 yr contract and I can't cancel, that I will have to pay for the remaining year. So they are basically asking me to pay for services I'm not going to use. They say I can totally transfer it to the new house provided I sign another 3 yr contract with them! How does that make sense! Now I have internet and tv services with bell, they are going to transfer the same account to the new house not ask me to sign a new 3 yr contract. This company is a total rip off. They don't care about their customers. They only care about money.

    Terrible company

They sign you into a 3 year contract and if you sell your house and move they won't cancel without charging you the remainder and if you want to move the service with you they will make you sign another 3 year contract. Horrible business practices. Terrible company, just stay away. Not to mention completly useless service.

    THE WORST COMPANY EVER

In the 3yr contract ,i feel more stressed having them involved than when i didn't. 1 panel issue replacement, 1 panel box issue replacement, 2 senor replacements, 2 false alarms ALL CAUSED BY ADT, i paid 3yrs of service to get serious problems and stress in return. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN

    Buyer Beware!

Horrible customer service, no understanding between departments, just a total mess. Our alarm went off without it being armed somehow. ADT dispatched the police WITHOUT calling us. Months later, we received a $250 fine that they refuse to waive. The alarm has had so many issues and every time a tech came, they said it was working fine. This company is a mess. It's impossible to get ahold of anyone, and you are passed around from department to department. Please find a reliable company for your alarm needs!

    ADT IS THE WORST

Absolutely the worst customer service I have every dealt with these people havnt got a clue what they are talking about. We moved recently and before we moved I called to speak with someone about moving our old system to the new house seeing is it was only a year old. She told me I had to buy a whole new system and to just leave the one I had payed for behind. I then time her we moved before and brought our old system with us and a tech set it up with a fight of course but they did it so I was told take it out then re install it yourself and we will send a tech out to connect. Then I have the service guy come he says it won't work period so you would have waisted your time installing it. Once again today I agree to get a new system and I wait for them to come with the installer telling me this new system they are trying to sell me isn't going to work properly because my house is too big and the Wi-Fi signal won't work right. I tell him about my old system and he checks it out and tells me that this one is much better then the new and that he can install my old one! I then call adt and of course it's the run around again and now I'm waiting because they want me to pay a cancellation fee that was supposed to he 1050 but is now 1705 how It jumps $700 is beyond me. Save yourself the headache with this company they think their time is more important then yours and now I'm responsible for paying for their mess up! Oh and too boot they broke my window and denied it too!

Moving ADT account to new home

We're moving to a new home so I called to hear my options. Waiting on hold for over an hour to talk to a Rep. Their staff is rude, unprofessional and customer service is non existent. we've been their customer for over a decade (it was a different company at first with exceptional customer service but now it's a nightmare) and that doesn't matter a bit. Instead of working with me and explain the best coarse of action that applies to my situation, they tried to put me in a corner with the most expensive option. Later I found a business card for an ADT Rep. He picks up the phone, I asked "Are you with ADT?", his response was "yeah, what do you want?" in a condescending tone.

    Security alarm monitoring

I recently called to make a change to my bill. Their customer service is disgusting and it took me almost 2 hours of holding and talking to different people to get my issue addressed. These big companies are losing touch with the customer and are happy to just fleece you monthly without providing a service
