    Mice chewed some wiring and dishwasher stopped working. Technician arrived within a couple of hours. Diagnosed problem quickly and was finished within an hour. Very pleased with.

    Repair household appliance: Refrigerator / freezer
    The company was quick to respond to the posting and we connected very soon after the posting. They were focused and helpful in understanding the problem. However, as my appliance is a built in fridge, they declined to take on the job. This was during the investigative call, and they didn't waste my time. They were apologetic, but explained that built-ins were much more difficult for them to deal with. I moved on to another contractor.

    Unsuccessful. We ended up buying a new washer.

    After my partner and I returned from a three week vacation we were not happy to discover our 30 year old washer packed it in while we were away. Homestars was great with tree removal and squirrel nest problems so here was a new challenge for them. Within an hour a dozen highly rated repair companies responded with fixify the first. I liked that speed (on a Saturday) and the fun name but most of all Sam’s can do answers. His technician, Belad, assessed the worn out parts Monday, tracked down the one remaining part in Mississauga and had it washing Wednesday. Oh yeah, we also had house guests on our holiday return. Have now done a dozen washes trouble free. Nice to come home to after the usual travel surprises. Mike

    Things didn’t work out as planned but they apologized for everything, including not being able to compete the job due to the complexity of the washing machine structure.
