Level Up Group recently constructed a legal basement apartment in my house. From start to finish, my experience with Level Up was nothing short of exceptional. Michael and his team were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to detail throughout the entire process. The work involved creating an exterior entrance, completing architecture drawings, interior design consultations, and the construction of a two bedroom basement apartment. Each step of the way, Michael kept me informed and provided valuable input to ensure that the project was completed to my satisfaction. The quality of workmanship was outstanding, and the finished basement apartment exceeded my expectations. The attention to detail was evident in every aspect of the project, from the layout to the finishes. One thing that stood out to me about Level Up was their commitment to customer satisfaction and organization. All the employees that completed work were very professional. Michael and the Level Up Team did a basement renovation for me and the experience was great. From the first phone call and site meeting, Michael took the time to explain the entire process from demolition to final completion and clean up. At he design stage, Ashley provided guidance in bringing your ideas to reality, very patient and always replied to emails. She sourced the best materials and went the extra mile to ensure i was pleased with my choice of finish products. I have to say I was satisfied with the workers and the end product that Level Up Basement Group delivered, good service, quality workmanship and made me a happy customer, no stress doing business with them.

My husband and I are first time homeowners and have never done a renovation before. We wanted to finish our basement to give us more liveable space, especially with my husband and I working from home and having 2 small kids. However, the task seemed daunting and we had no idea who to trust or where to begin. I started my research on HomeStars and saw various companies with great ratings so began to read reviews and reach out for quotes. Michael was the first person to respond from Level Up and honestly from the moment we met, we knew we could trust him. I am an extremely skeptical person and with us having zero experience in home renos I really did my due diligence throughout this process. In our initial consult, Michael left such a great impression on me and my husband and eased our anxiousness. He was honest, organized, professional and friendly. He told us to get multiple quotes before making a decision and answered my thousands of questions patiently and honestly. He made a comment in his first visit that he prides himself on his reputation and that his clients are his family. Now looking back with our project complete, I can 100% say that Level Up Consulting is an incredible company that will make your vision come to life. Another thing that impressed and reassured me was that he provided me with the phone numbers of his previous clients who I was able to text/talk to and get their feedback on Level Up and their experiences. In spending such a large amount of money, this helped us feel more confident that we were making the right decision. The previous owners of our home started to renovate the basement themselves but never finished. They didnt make the best use of the space and you could tell their work was not professional. Our basement isnt very large, about 800 square feet so we were really looking for guidance on how make the best use of the small space. Ashley is the designer from Level Up and after the demo she came to take measurements and provided us with a few different layout options to choose from. She was flexible and listened to our needs as we asked for a few changes before confirming the final design. We wanted a bedroom, bathroom, office space and living area and we couldnt be happier with the final product! After a few email exchanges we were set and went to the showroom to select our finishes. We were blown away by what was included in the base pricing. There were so many amazing and current options of flooring, tiles, fixtures, vanities, etc. and all were included in our pricing. Only if you wanted something custom or very specific did you need to pay extra but we didnt feel the need. After the demo and design the foundation inspection was the first thing to happen. Michael had told us to put in a contingency for this and we are so glad we did. Our home is on a slope and when we moved in, we were worried about the potential of water damage. The previous owners had done a band aid solution and the foundation inspection identified 2 cracks and a tonne of leaks that Level Up was able to correct. While it was unfortunate that we had to spend the extra money, it is so worth it in the long run and gives us the peace of mind that we know exactly what is happening behind the walls. Michael provides a very detailed schedule once the start date has been confirmed and they were on time or early every step of the way. After the materials were delivered, Michael came the day of framing and we were able to make some adjustments to the plan as needed. Michael also pointed out where you could spend extra money (i.e reroute pipes so not so many bulkheads) and where it wasnt worth the spend. We really appreciated that as we could tell he really had our best interests at heart. Every contractor that came into our home was friendly and professional. The entire project took 3 months and that included 3 weeks of design/ordering of materials and a one-week delay that was because of us ordering a barn door that was on back order. We loved the electrical design and plumbing experiences as we were able to customize the basement based on our needs (extra outlets in our office space). We also found the contractors proactive to provide insights of how to improve the initial design plan we were given based on our actual basement when the work began. Michael and his team stayed close to the project, were flexible with payment and ensured we were only paying for things after they were completed and we were satisfied with the work. We couldnt be happier with the way our basement turned out and the quality of work done. Choose Level Up I promise you will not be disappointed!

Our experience with Level Up was exceptional. We had a partially finished basement that we were hoping to transform into a welcoming space one that would accommodate a separate home office, 3 piece washroom, laundry room, and family room. We were tentative about spending such a huge sum of money, and we were skeptical that our horror movie basement could actually be transformed into a place that our kids would want to spend time in CUE: Michael, the owner of Level Up. A literal miracle worker!! We had met with 7 other contractors, and we ultimately chose to go with Level Up based on their reviews and our initial meeting with Michael. We loved his forthrightness, candor, ninja-like project management skills (he showed us his daily and weekly schedule it was a sight to behold), and the palpable pride he took in delivering excellence to his clients. I am telling you: They did NOT disappoint. The entire process ran seamlessly and efficiently the project stayed on track and on budget, with military-like precision. There were a few hiccups along the way (thats inevitable), but most importantly: they were always handled with speedy responsiveness and a solutions-oriented attitude. I would have zero hesitation in recommending Level Up to anyone. In a sea of contractors, they really are in a league of their own. We recently contracted Level Up Group Consulting Inc. to complete an extensive basement renovation. The work done by Michael (owner) and his crew was exceptional! The process from start to finish was seamless. During our first meeting Michael was extremely professional and provided a very detailed quote and projected timeline for completion of the project. The quoted budget was adhered to with no hidden surprises. Michael was also able to easily accommodate our add ons to the project and still meet the projected completion timeline (no easy feat considering supply chain issues due to COVID). The scope of our project was extensive. Our unfinished basement was transformed into an amazing livable space that included the installation of an Escape window, 3 piece bathroom, flex room with barn doors, family room, and closed storage. We were able to maximize both the square footage of liveable space and storage based on the recommendations of the engineer to relocate our hot water tank. Each one of Michael's trade crews completed their work meticulously. It was easy to see that the tradesmen that worked on our reno took great pride in their work. Finishes from installation of flooring to the detailed tile work in the bathroom were completed with great attention and detail. Electrical work done by Alex and his crew was also exceptional. Most importantly, all building codes were met with permit inspections passing with flying colours. At the end of the project Michael conducted a final walk through to ensure we were 100% satisfied with the work done. Needless to say we were more than 100% satisfied! I interviewed many contractors before finalizing with Michael of Levelup Group. It was the best decision I made. My basement apartment went through the City approval process and the finishes are done so well, that I had 6-7 applicants within a week wanting to rent the place. It was so easy to deal with Michael and his team, and the work was completed in time. There were no hidden costs and the material used were top notch as well. The entire experience was amazing, hassle free and put me at complete ease.

We recently bought a property that needed major updates on the main floor and complete renovation of the basement. We wanted to be compliant to the citys building, renovation, and zoning requirements. As such, we were very particular that whoever we engaged for the contract has the capability and experience in delivering what is required while at the same time be able to ensure compliance. After doing extensive research and receiving quotes from several contractors (some of whom we have already dealt with in the past), we decided to engage Level Up Consulting Group. From the very first meeting with Michael (owner), we felt comfortable even though we had no prior relationship. He was very transparent, giving us a detailed quote with several options, and guiding us through the pros and cons of each. This enabled us to decide on the best option that will meet our requirements and budget. He formalized the quote with a contract protecting our mutual interests, set reasonable timelines, and assured us of the quality delivery that his company is proud of. Then came the exciting part, meeting and discussing with the Engineer (for the building plans/permits) and the Designer for the interior plans/design). Both were very professional and knowledgeable. They were instrumental in translating our vision into actual plans and design documents that passed the citys approval and paved the way for start of the work. Michaels construction crew worked efficiently and knew their craft. Each job process seamlessly transitioned to the next until the entire project was completed. As with any construction project, there were some minor hiccups along the way, but Michael managed our expectations well in the process and ensured issues were addressed to our satisfaction. One thing that stands out with Michael, aside from his expert project management and solid company reputation of providing quality service, is his trustworthiness. He is truly a man of his word, a man of integrity. We were glad we found him.
