This is my 2nd time purchasing from this company. The last time was approx. 10 years ago but i have since moved. Even though i was thoroughly satisfied with the first purchase, i wanted to do my due diligence and still see what other companies had to offer in terms of pricing and quality of materials. I discovered that not only has Cherry upped their game in terms of quality of materials (arms, fabric, Somfy motor) but they remained extremely competitive in terms or pricing and value. I was extremely satisfied with their professionalism, customer service and installation. My true gauge for a good vendor is their after care service and when one of the arms protruded after i was meddling with the angles and crank, they came the next day to rectify the issue which i may or may not have caused..... no questions.

The journey in finding an awning for our deck was bumpy and frustrating until we found Necker Canada Inc. and Cherry. Originally we bought an awning from a big box store. It was on sale and we thought it was a pretty good deal, but none of the big box stores provided the installation service and we found the quality of the awning was just okay. So our search for the installation began and we found Necker on HomeStars. All their clients provided positive feedback and we decided to give it a try. My husband called Cherry about the installation and she confirmed that Necker could provide the service. Since Necker also sells awning, we asked Cherry for a quote. After receiving a few quotes from other companies, we found Cherry’s quote was reasonable and she was very genuine while we talked to her so we decided to give the business to her and returned the big box store awning. Cherry came to our house later that day to take measurements to ensure we had enough space and recommended the right size awning and fabric to match our house. Her opinion was honest, straight to the point and the whole time we never felt pressured to buy any accessories or extra parts. As a matter of fact, when we asked for a cover for the awning, she stopped us from thinking of getting one as she pointed out the eavestrough was wide enough to provide the protection. I have met many sales representatives and they never turn away business and they will sell you everything under the sun. Not Cherry, she only sells you what you need, not what you think you need or want. Cherry is very professional, very friendly and definitely trustworthy. About a week later, Cherry called me one evening and told me the awning was ready and wanted to install it before Canada Day so we could enjoy our new outdoor living space. This was amazing customer service, the promised date was 2 weeks and they delivered in 1 week. The next day, Dennis and Terry the installation team came to our house right on time. They were very experienced and professional, and they thought about every little details. For example, they picked the perfect spot for the metal rod and they wired the electrical cord where it was the least visible. If you are looking for an awning, Necker is the place and Cherry is the right person to do business. Trust me, you will not be disappointed. I am so happy with the awning that I use it everyday. I am actually writing the review right now on my deck under the new awning. The awning is a lovely piece of furniture that is practical, good looking and adds value to our house. Now I can enjoy the outdoor anytime without worrying about UV and get the privacy we want.

I used Necker to install an awning that I already owned. Cherry was accommodating (and responsive) and the installation team (Dennis and Tony) were professional and thorough. If I were to do it over again I would purchase the awning directly from Necker. The installation team used epoxy when installing, which is the way to go when installing directly into the brick. I wouldn't hesitate to refer them. A professionally installed awning makes a significant difference both for functionality and aesthetics.

Trust, not an easy thing to earn especially when it comes to as personal of a matter as home renovations. Cherry arrived with a lot of information and was very helpful and patient to explain me what she was going to do. She even picked the right color which was a perfect fit. I admire the professionalism of the firm in installation of the awnings. They were well organized, pro-active and most importantly knowledgeable. They arrived before the promised date and did a perfect job. I am sure I will have more business for her from my friends.

We highly recommend Necker Awnings. We purchased our awning from them in 2009. Cherry was very helpful in helping us to choose the right awning, explained different options. Installation was done on time. I should mention that we live in Mississuaga and company is located in Richmond Hill. We were very happy with product. The reason I'm writing this review is because something happened to the awning this Friday - the motor was working but the awning was not retrackting - remained fully extended. I came home Friday night and my wife was very upset because she thought she broke it. I found Cherry's phoen number called and left message. She called me back within 10 min. After I explained the problem she said she would send technician first thing in the morning. Technician came before 10 AM and fixed the awning within 40 min. Apparently it was a gear that broke. I guess those things happen, nothing lasts forever. But I was really impressed that they responded so quickly. Cherry only charged us for labour and gas. Considering that they are small company and we are located so far from them, it is amazing how fast they helped us with this issue. I highly recommend Necker Awning to anybody.

I would highly recommend using Necker Awnings. Their service is seamless from start to end. Sherry comes on time and well prepared and enthusiastic about her product. She is able to show you pictures of other jobs and has the materials on hand to help you make your choice. She keeps in touch and delivers the product as arranged. Her workers are neat, and the work is completed exactly as she said it would be. Great quality and excellent service all round. This company is a pleasure to deal with, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We get a lot of afternoon sun and we wanted to install an awning so that we could enjoy our patio without feeling the heat too much. We contacted Necker Awnings after reading reviews on Homestars. Cherry came in with many beautiful fabric samples and helped me choose one that fit with the decor of my home. She worked within my budget. The awning came in earlier than we expected and we were happy about that. The installation service was exceptional. They cleaned everything after they were done. Cherry sat down with us to explain how to take care of our awning so that it lasts for years. Cherry you are the best and we love our awning!

We recently purchased a patio awning from Necker Awnings and met with representative Cherry Chan to discuss details. Cherry was more than helpful in helping us choose the style and fabric color. She showed us photos of past installations as well as a large sample of fabrics. Her product is of excellent quality and price competitive with all the high end companies that we researched. Delivery was prompt and quicker than expected, she also went into detail on how to use and care for the awning. Her knowledge of the product and installation procedures enabled us to complete the installation ourselves. We are completely satisfied with the awning and service provided to us by Cherry. We live in Swan Lake Village in Markham and have been enjoying the awning over our patio. We decided to hire Necker to install an awning over our deck. They did an EXCELLENT job. Cherry came to our home and did the measuring, and gave us a quote and an estimated installation date. The quote was exact and the awning was installed sooner than expected. A few weeks later our old awning over the patio was damaged in a sudden, heavy rain storm. We call Necker again and Cherry suggested that the company could replace the old canvas and any of the broken hardware and use the existing hardware to reduce both the cost and the unnecessary garbage. Within a week we had a the awning replaced and in excellent working order. We can now enjoy two awnings installed by Necker. This company is excellent. I have asked for a supply of their business cards so others who are looking to install an awning will also have a satisfactory experience.
