Back Yard
I wanted the backyard at my house completely redone, and Gus spent the time to come up with a wonderful plan and then implemented it on time and on budget. The neighbours all commented on how great it looks now, and even several years later, the backyard is a really nice place to spend an afternoon. He also redid my small front yard with ground cover, and did a great job on that too. He is always very good value for the high quality of work he does.

Project
I can't say enough great things about Gus and the team at So Green. We hired Gus after my husband and I had a terrible experience with another professional. Gus is meticulous, and takes pride in his work. Not only is he exceptionally talented; he treated our home as if it was his own. The design was beautiful, and he made the front of our house look beyond gorgeous. Gus is honest, a man of his word, and is an absolute pleasure to partner with. My husband and I both work long hours, and we never had to worry about anything. Hiring professionals to work on your house is stressful, and I can confidentially say that I would rehire Gus without hesitation!! His work is beautiful, he's a pleasure to work with, and he always had our best interests at heart. He is worth every penny, and most importantly, if you hire him-you will be THRILLED! Thank you Gus for all of your hard work. Mike and I feel are so grateful we found you, and look forward to working with you again!

Backyard Dining Area
I interviewed a number of landscape architects and contractors for a re-design for my backyard dining area...all designs were so suburban and commonplace. Working with Gus from So Green, on a limited budget, was fantastic! He drew up a plan that incorporated soft scapes and hard scapes, and created a space that I love and still enjoy seven years later! I would love to upload a photo - magazine worthy! Thank you so much!

Front Yard Parking Pad and Porch Refacing
We have just received the permit legalizing the parking pad which Gus and his crew created using new permeable pavers. It looks great, is easy to shovel, and most importantly, complies with the tough new city guidelines. Gus also refaced our aging front porch with flagstone and replaced an old concrete retaining wall with a more attractive (and lower) wall in matching flagstone. The entire project was completed quickly and efficiently. The work site was cleaned up safely and completely each night. Gus provided sage professional advice which led us to a cost-effective, functional, and attractive result. He is flexible, accommodating, and responsive. Our neighbour recommended So Green to us, and I would not hesitate in recommending So Green to others.

Remove and Replace Patio
Gus and his crew were punctual, hardworking and did a great job, right from the initial site visit, through suggestion options, pointing out necessary changes to my design, and execution and clean-up. Gus was very prompt at returning phone calls and emails even in the peak summer season. The patio looks wonderful and the job was done on time and on budget.

Landscaping Backyard
We were very pleased with Gus, he is very professional. I was amazed that when I sent Gus emails or called him he actually returned the call or email right away. When Gus said he was going to be somewhere or do something he achieved those timelines, this is very rare with most contractors. Our backyard was a big project and we are very happy with the finished project.

Front yard landscaping
We needed a design for landscaping the front yard of the house we just bought in Bloor West Village. We called on SoGreen and they provided us with a wonderful design we discussed with Gus. He helped us get a permit in 24 ours! Four days later we now have a fabulous front yard. Very professional and a pleasure to work with.

front perennial garden restoration and backyard sod
I moved into a house this spring and inherited a perennial garden in the front, and a backyard full of interlock. Neither suited my family's needs so I called about 8 landscaping companies to get quotes to sod everything. I was most impressed with Gus over the phone and even more so after I met with him the first time. He was prompt, knowledgeable and worked with my short time line. After meeting with Gus, family and friends talked me into having the perennial garden restored instead of sodding it. Gus was extremely flexible and offered solutions for the restoration and hardscaping that would give me the look I wanted. The results were like night and day. I absolutely love the work Gus and the guys did. Besides the clean up of the garden they installed a "waterless river" made up of rocks and stones, stepping stones through the garden and a "natural curb" to frame it. As for the backyard, they leveled, prepped and sodded the yard. The guys worked hard and quickly to complete the job, even in the heat. I was impressed that Gus was actually heading up the job himself. I would recommend So Green to anyone. I have complements on both front and back yards constantly.

Full exterior landscape and stone work (front, side and back)
Gus was extremely helpful: meeting with us in advance to discuss our needs; providing a detailed estimate and renderings; and then inviting us to join him to pick out the stones and colour palette we preferred. Gus gave us excellent feedback and direction, advising what could work and carefully explaining all steps in the process. Once it came time to begin work, Gus and his team were impeccable: courteous, hard-working, fast yet a perfect eye for detail... AND CLEAN! Each day, they cleaned up the site and made sure all tools/equipment/product was safely secured overnight. Throughout the process, Gus explained his steps and repeatedly asked us what we thought, if we were happy, if there was anything we had questions about. He genuinely cared about meeting our needs and ensuring that there wasn't any confusion. The finished product was incredible - more than we'd even envisioned. Gus' work has truly turned a downtown Toronto corner lot into a little oasis - a small taste of country living. We couldn't be more impressed by the work, the end result and Gus' professionalism. We would recommend Gus and his team to anyone and everyone; we've already shared his name and phone number with others.

sodding front & backyard
Great service and great job done .... on a very tight schedule. Thank you Gus for doing a beautiful job and the clean up was immaculate . I will recommend your company to anyone who needs an excellent landscaper.
