In September 2025, we contacted home painter services to paint our living/dining room, hallway, stairway railing, and two piece washroom. They did a good job with the living room and hallway, but the bathroom did not go well. We had specified semi gloss paint, but the contractor used eggshell instead. We asked them to repaint the bathroom with the semi gloss that was specified, asking for a lighter shade. They skimped on the semi gloss paint leaving many dark spots showing through the light coating of semi gloss paint. Despite repeated requests, they never came back to paint it properly so our son ended up going out to purchase paint to finish off the bathroom. They did not caulk around the baseboards or crown moulding as they had agreed to do at the outset. The stairway railing and all of the trim is having problems with the paint peeling. I don’t know if it’s because the coat of paint was so light or perhaps the existing surfaces wereAnswer from pro:

From our side, we completed the job to the best of our ability, and everything was done properly. I’m honestly confused by this review because, as you mentioned, everything was fine. We explained to you multiple times that the paint used was exactly what was agreed upon, but it seems you were not willing to trust our explanation. At this point, I’m not sure what else I can say. We respect your opinion and will continue to respect it. What I don’t understand is why, after seven or eight months, you decided to update your review again. Thank you.

Requested to have the interior house painted, and decided to remove popcorn ceiling. This decision added extra days and work to the job. The preparation was a lot of work, the priming and painting. A little more attention to detail with the trim work would be my advice, however I must say they had a lot of work to do and we are very happy it was completed.
