Hired to fix a stripped/seized faucet handle screw and a minor drip. The plumber drilled out the screw, replaced the cartridge, and installed a new handle, which did stop the leak.
However, after the repair, the base ring under the handle was left loose, which was not an issue before, and this wasn’t communicated at the time. When I followed up, I was told it had already been “tampered with,” which doesn’t match the original condition. Follow-up communication felt defensive and focused on blame rather than resolution.
After a few weeks of use, the faucet is also uncomfortable to operate. The handle now has to be pulled upward to turn on, making water flow and temperature difficult to control. The leak was fixed, but the faucet is now only a temporary solution and will need replacement.
