Worst experience ever. The team of three that came to our house was the farthest thing away from professional movers as possible. The lead guy- the driver did not know how to park his truck, nor did he know how to pack a house. It was like watching the 3- stooges or Jim Carrey & Jeff Daniels (they starred in an old comedy movie about 2 guys that find some money). 11 hours total for a 2 bedroom house. The three guys worked and walked very slow. As if to pad the $175/ hr rate. They did not have any type of cutting tool to cut tape and had to use heir teeth. Additionally, the company does not have a “Pre Payments” license in the province of Alberta. Meaning they are not allowed to ask for a deposit over $200 dollars and your deposit is not insured by the province.. Damage is limited to $50 per issue. Need to move a 4x 8 pool table from Bath to Westport. Was quoted $500 to disassemble pool table and then move from Bath to Westport. Reassembling the pool table was not asked for nor included in quote. I agreed to pay $500 and told them to proceed. Received a call a couple hours later saying they had miscalculated and they would now need to charge $850. Fast forward to today and they called again and said there was another miscalculation and they would need $1,100 dollars. I said no. They would need to complete the work for the agreed upon quote of $850. They said no so I told them to take a hike. Do not hire this company! I needed movers to move my daughter out of her apartment and into her new apartment. She had to move out on the last day of the month, but not move into her new apartment until the following day. I had to have them pick up one day, store everything overnight and return it all to the new address the following day. I had received several quotes from reputable movers. I chose Tetrus because of their quick responses to my questions and their customer service was outstanding. They showed up on time, worked quickly, were friendly , and super professional. This was our second move with cargo cabbie, and we recommend them to everyone we know. Amanda was so patient in answering all my questions and on fielding many emails with updates, and was consistently prompt and kind. Gwen showed up early with the moving truck which he miraculously managed to park in a very tight space on a busy Toronto street, and the other two crew members showed up before the 9am start time. Five minutes later, they were loading. they worked efficiently and quietly, and then met us at our new home which was quite a distance away, and they again were super-efficient, smart, and careful in getting everything put where it belonged.
