Do you have experience with my type of plumbing system?

Homes in Scarborough often feature a mix of plumbing materials due to the area’s range of older neighbourhoods, apartment buildings, and newer subdivisions. Older properties may still have galvanized steel supply lines or cast iron drain pipes that can corrode over time, while newer homes and renovations typically use copper or PEX for water supply and ABS or PVC for drainage, offering improved durability and easier maintenance.

Are you licensed and do you have liability insurance?

Are you familiar with Scarborough’s plumbing codes and permits?

Plumbing work may require specific permits and inspections. Ensuring the plumber knows local regulations helps avoid fines or rework.

Do you handle emergency plumbing services?

Frozen or burst pipes are common in winter. Knowing a plumber can respond quickly prevents major water damage.

Do you have experience working with plumbing systems in high-rise condos in Scarborough?

Many Scarborough buildings are mid- or high-rise, where plumbing involves shared lines, pressure balancing, and coordinated shutoffs. A plumber familiar with these systems can avoid disruptions to other units and complete work more efficiently.

How do you address drainage and erosion-related plumbing issues in areas near local creeks or ravines?

Parts of Scarborough near Highland Creek or the Rouge River can experience shifting soil or drainage challenges. A plumber with local experience can recommend solutions that protect pipes and reduce the risk of recurring issues.
