Super impressed with Avonlea. Our kitchen was reno'd about 3 years ago and we have been really happy with the quality of the workmanship. We recently had a problem with our under-mount sink coming loose (way past the warranty) but Gio at Avonlea came out anyway and fixed it for us!

Simply amazing from Demo to finish from electrical to plumbing they do it all so clean and efficient. Will definitely use them again. I almost moved into my kitchen how beautiful it came out to be

John and his Avonlea team were a great match for us. After researching and meeting with 3-4 contractors, we went with Avonlea for several reasons: their HomeStars reviews were overwhelmingly positive, John’s approach & commitment provided us confidence from the get-go, their pricing was competitive and they were clear in managing details and expectations. We had a decent sized master bedroom en-suite to completely gut (including flooring) & re-do. The entire job, pretty much as soon as contractors were allowed to start up again mid-Covid, was completed in about 3 weeks, as promised. Gabriel (he’s terrific!) was onsite every day and pretty much single handedly did the job, with some craftsmanship support from his father. We’re thrilled with the final result and highly recommend Avonlea if you’re considering a bathroom or kitchen reno.

The company did an impeccable job renovating our kitchen and bathroom. The job included gutting out both rooms and installing everything, from the floors to the ceilings and new floors. They kept to the dates and the budget, and the men who came to work in our home were professional and polite. John did not make promises that could not be kept, did not push products, and provided feedback when we asked for one.

I cannot say enough good things about this job. We used Homestars to choose three contractors to quote, and chose Avonlea because of the clarity in the pricing and the comprehensive and clear answers to all our questions. Avonlea started on time, kept a clean site, protected all the adjacent areas, finished on budget a day early, and the finished job is fantastic.

We had Avonlea do a complete kitchen gut job. We have used them in the past for 2 other projects, so we knew what to expect. From beginning to the end everyone is professional and knows their job very well. John, Dominic Gabriel and his dad and Jeco were all prompt polite and good problem solvers. They took all my concerns seriously. The project was completed within the time expected and we are thrilled with the result. Thank you Avonlea!

We've had both of our bathrooms renovated by Avonlea and we've been impressed with the process from start to finish. John is responsive to enquiries and providing a detailed quote/timeline for the work to be done. He makes the process easy. On this occasion we needed some work done in the bathroom they did 13 years ago (a jetted tub was at the end of its useful life and needed to be replaced). Gabriel and his father were punctual and the job space was immaculate at the end of each day. The tiling they did was impeccable - they were able to match the original tile and only a keen eye would be able to tell this tub isn't the original one in this space. The work was done exactly when they said it would be and looks fantastic. Without reservation, I would highly recommend Avonlea.

What a fantastic experience start to finish. They listened to what I wanted. They gave me some good advice based on their expertise. They provided a clear and complete quote for the work and a contract. They arrived at the date and time agreed on and got right to work. The job was finished on time. The crew was skilled and did high quality work. They did exactly what they said they would do and a bit better. Based on a quote received from another firm, I would say Avonlea is well priced. We hired Avonlea in 2017 to redo our tiny main bathroom (and the only shower in the house). They were on time, on budget, and worked with us whenever our 100year old house necessitated a slight change in plans - no fuss, the company obviously does a lot of work in older houses and offer solutions! This was a trial run for a major kitchen reno, to be honest. The kitchen reno in 2018 was down to the studs, insulating, moving pipes and HVAC ducts, etc. For both renos, we were really pleased with how professional the team is. They are on time, do great work, and are very responsive to any concerns/questions/changes that we had.

We can't say enough positive things about John and his team. Never have I worked with a renovation company/contractors who were so on the ball. Every communication was quick and clear and every time John made an appointment he was on time. The work that was flawless and Mike, the main contractor, did an extraordinary job. He work incredibly hard and finished the job within 7 days. Even with the changing of pipes from galvanized to copper. Honestly, I can''t recommend Avonlea enough and would without a doubt work with them again! Worth every penny and an absolute joy to work with. And of course, we LOVE our new bathroom!!
