Review from HomeOwner Review left on 16 Sep 2015Rating: 0 out of 5I purchased Bar stools for the oldest and best Steakhouse in Toronto and I love the chairs. The sales staff was great when i was making the purchase. However since then a few of the chair caps have been lost. I have tried contacting Brooklyn for replacement parts, they have hung up on me twice and my emails are going unanswered. I will never go there again and I hope you dont either.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

My husband and I came to Brooklyn Furniture for some dining furniture. We were attended to by Peter who gave us very professional and honest advice about the selection we had in mind. Not only did he offer us with great discounted prices, he took the time and was also very helpful in making sure the furniture complemented our existing decor. I must admit I was very indecisive and changed my mind on things a few times to a point where I was annoyed with myself and quite embarrassed. However, Peter was very patient and co-operative throughout our multiple visits. We have placed our order and are awaiting the delivery. However, our experience this far has already been very satisfying and we are very impressed with the customer service we have received. Great customer is rare to come by these days and I feel that anyone who goes above and beyond must be acknowledged!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

Once you pay for your furniture don’t expect to get any service or a call back, its been 4 months and all we hear are excuses. The few bucks you save buying from them will cost you much more in grief, remember you were warned.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

First don't believe their story, despite being in business for 50 + years, they have no idea how to treat customers. They promise the moon and you get hell on earth.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

The Canadian made bed is the best price compared to show room shops. Also bought the mattress which came with the box spring. A divine purchase since they delivered and assembled for me. You will have to wait for shipping as it seems they dont carry stock, about a month.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

The customer service is terrible. We ordered a bedroom set and were told it would be delivered in 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, I called they said “for that bed it will take 4 weeks”. I called 4 weeks later and spoke to Scott who determined my order had never been placed. I cancelled my order immediately and then of course was called numerous times by Brooklyn trying to make it up to me. Do not deal with Peter at this store, he is a great salesman and terrible at customer service. You will be disappointed.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

My wife and I bought a bedroom set from them, they seemed great right off the bat Lou was good to deal with. I was told I would get the bedroom set within a months time. This was April 2012, I called mid June and was told there would be a delay for another month to month and half bc of the manufacturing Broyhill. I could live with that as its not Brookylins fault, but I should have at least been notified earlier of the delay, but not told until I called in. Fast forward to July 7, finally got it delievered, better then expected, but the bed was missing the bed rails to sit mattress on. I was fine and the delivery guys said they would bring it Monday. I called them early Monday morning and told them me and my wife wouldnt be home and come Tuesday. They said fine. We both waited all day Tuesday and after calling and speaking to a very rude Peter that they knew nothing about when it would be sjhipped and if we would get it Tuesday, after waiting all day. I was frustrated and told him I wasnt satisfied, he even hung up the phone 2 times on me and then once on my wife. My wife told him forget the Tuesday delivery as it was already 4pm and we had to leave to attend a family function. We said just bring it Wednesday instead. Lou the owner said it would be delivered Wednesday between 9;30-10:30. It didnt come at that time and when they did bring the piece at 11:30, it was the wrong piece!!! They had to come back again an hour later and my wife again had to wait half the day. These guys seemed very unorganized, I wasnt even offered some sort of compensation. If you do deal with them dont talk to Peter very rude, but then again I would advise not to deal with Brooklyn at all. Even if you have to pay more go to a company that provides better service.Answer from pro:
We apologize for any rudeness that our customer experienced. As the reviewer stated, the manufacturer did indeed deliver the product later than anticipated, which (again as stated by the reviewer) was beyond our control, it being a brand new collection offered by the manufacturer. We endeavor to keep our customers up to date on their products' whereabouts as much as possible. Sometimes the manufacturers do not inform us of delays. The furniture was delivered to the customers on the same day it arrived at our store. As to the slats for the bed ordered, there was a load error and the slats were not included on the truck at the time of the original delivery. We did the best we could to get the slats to the customers in a timely manner. The slats delivered to the customers were the ones provided by the manufacturer for the bed in question, but due to a packaging error, the legs for the center support were too short. Immediately after learning of this, another person was dispatched immediately to deliver a metal support system to replace the wooden slats that came with the bed. This metal support system is far more solid and is sold for $160 plus taxes, and was provided free of charge. This was done instead of waiting for replacement legs to be provided by the manufacturer.

My family ordered bedroom furniture from Brooklyn Furniture for our three kids. The service at the store, while ordering, was very efficient. As the furniture was being delivered, the movers accidentally put a hole in the wall along our stairs. Brooklyn Furniture handled everything so well! The very next day, a skilled handyman arrived, repaired, and painted the hole. It looks as good as new. I could not have been happier with the service my family received. I never write reviews, but this time it was called for!!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

I purchased bedroom furniture from Brooklyn Furniture in May. The furniture was priced well and arrived within 4 weeks. After the delivery was made, I inspected the furniture and noted that the 2 dressers delivered were both poorly finished. I made a call to the store and spoke to Scott about how disappointed I was with the finish on the furniture. He came to my home within a week, took a number of pictures of the dressers and sent them to the manufacturer of the furniture expressing our disappointment. I had 2 brand new beautiful dressers delivered within a month. Louis and his staff provide good customer service. I would definitely make future purchases at Brookly and will refer friends and family.
