Thanks very much, Gord. The tree is much better prepared for the winter weather ahead. The limbs over your service lines were far too tip heavy to withstand much ice or snow, I'm glad you had them removed. By the time we trimmed the branches over the house and towards the street, we ended up with an even, symmetric ring of branches, aesthetically the tree is a very nice focus of the front lawn. Happy to help Grace. The leaf litter will be greatly reduced now that the overhanging branches have been trimmed back. You should enjoy much more sunlight to the area also. Thank you very much, Sandra. Locust trees frequently grow out of shape and require periodic trimming of the long shoots which have grown beyond the rest of the canopy. Additionally they accumulate deadwood as the tree kills off the smaller watersprouts and sucker growth that it cannot maintain. They should be cleaned up every two to three years to preserve their health. Your tree looks much better now and will respond favorably to the pruning. Thank you for the work. Thank you very much Tiffany. That dead Pine tree was starting to drop limbs as the wood deteriorated. It was time for it to come down. Your neighbor was very appreciative of all the free dry wood we brought to him. The cedar trees overhanging the roof have been trimmed well back now so the foliage debris won't clog the evestroughs anymore. The job went very well and I'm glad everyone was pleased. Thank you Monica. The tree had a very long branch fail due to dry rot within the branch where it joined the trunk. Over time, the rot weakens the junction of the branch to the trunk, to a point where the branch can no longer support the weight burden and the branch fails. This branch we attended to fell across three yards, destroying fences and landscaping. As bad as it was, it probably landed in the best way possible, narrowly missing houses, sheds and other structures. Thankfully the insurance companies will affect the repairs and happily no one was injured. Thank you for putting your faith in us to affect the repairs to the tree and clean up the mess. We'll be happy to return next spring as you requested to assess the deadwood removal and trimming of suspect branches. Until then, all the best, Craig.
