I strongly recommend hiring Brent for your home inspection. We first found Brent on Homestars.com and have used his services twice before (once for a 3yr old home in Markham in Sep/10 and once for a 8yr old home in Toronto in Oct/13). Brent is not only very friendly and knowledgeable but also very professional (eg. arrived early at the site). He is also very thorough, so much so that you'd think he was buying the home for himself! In his report, he pointed out several minor repairs and preventative fixes. His level of thoroughness gives me a lot of comfort and confidence before buying a house. He took 100+ photos during the inspection, which he provided along with the inspection report that same night. In addition, Brent is extremely patient and took the time to answer all our questions (in person and via email) -- this is invaluable when you are a first-time home buyer or if you are not handy like me. Further, Brent will not hesitate to go the extra mile for his clients. For example, a few of the shingles was missing from the roof (likely blown off by strong wind). Brent came back another day to replace the shingles at no charge. I know this was a easy fix if you know how to do it, but it was very kind of him to offer. In all, I cannot say enough good things about Brent. We were all very impressed by Brent's service and knowledge, including my real estate agent who has worked with many other home inspectors in the past.

Brent was prompt, friendly and accommodating. He was meticulous and took his time going through the entire home in detail with me. He even spent a significant amount of time cramped up in the crawlspace to ensure there were no leaks! His honestly, professionalism and friendly demeanor lead to a great overall experience. During the inspection session Brent demonstrated great consciousness and high professionalism. He thoroughly analyzed all the shortages, including the hidden and hard-to-find ones, and provided objective estimation of required repairs, which tremendously helped in negotiation for price reduction.

ERIC Showed up 10 minutes before time, he is very knowledgeable and thorough with his inspection provided us with a report (included tons of photos) the same night. Would highly recommend him to anyone. Walkthrough took roughly 2 hours (2300 sq ft). Very professional and courteous, and most importantly genuine.

Classic Home Inspections did an incredible job for me. The inspector showed up on time and got right to work. He spent 3.5 hours and gave the house a very thorough exam. As a tradesman myself I thought I had a solid grasp on what the house needed when I made my offer and was surprised at what I had missed. Brent was on the roof, in the attic and in the crawl space. Not a stone was left unturned. Long story short Brent presented me with a very detailed report which allowed me to decide for myself not to make a $20,000 mistake and walk away from the deal. On a personal note Brent is a very friendly person, as honest as the day is long and there can be no question to his personal integrity. I am so happy with the service I received that I am using Brent again on my next home inspection tomorrow!

Thanks to the crazy Toronto spring real estate market we've had the pleasure of working with Brent 3 times over the past few months. The properties we've had Brent inspect included, in order, a bungalow, a two story detached and a three story semi-detached. Brent was even kind enough to do one of the inspections on a weekday with our real estate agent while we were not able to be there. He then took the time to e-mail us all of the photos of the property that same evening and reviewed them over the phone with us the night before offers were being accepted. Brent has been very flexible in terms of scheduling and has charged us VERY reasonable prices for each inspection. In fact, I think we've started to receive the bulk discount and are considering getting him to start us on the loyalty-program! In all seriousness, Brent thoroughly inspects every detail of the home, takes the time to explain it to you, is very knowledgeable and is extremely easy-going and most importantly, a pleasure to work with. THIS GUY WAS GREAT, TOOK HIS TIME, HONESTLY I THOUGHT MY HOUSE WAS IN GREAT SHAPE, HE FOUND LOTS OF IMPORTANT ITEMS THAT WOULD HAVE COSTED ME THOUSANDS TO FIX MYSELF. I did this for my 1 year tarion, if you are reading this and 2nd guessing calling an inspector for your tarion, think again! pay this guy and he will make sure your builder is not screwing you!! He was good and priced very fair for the long time he spent at my house! great job! thanks again!

First time home buyer !!!! Stressful process , but luckily we had Brent perform our home inspection and we are happy with the job he did! Very nice and polite guy. He was early at the property and spent almost 2 hrs going over the house from top to bottom. He identified some little issues as well gave us advise on how to fix them . There were alot of questions !! But he managed and was very patient and answered each one. His rates are reasonable and i would strongly refer him to family and friends . He is great and very professional !!! Thanks a lot !!!

We had hired Brent Jeffreys to do an inspection of a house we were thinking of buying. While Brent did an okay job of inspecting the house and explaining me things. Here is why I will not recommend him to anyone: 1. While he had said that the inspection would take 2.5-3.0 hours, he rushed the inspection in about 2 hours. 2. While he had promised me that he would go on the roof, he stayed on his ladder and just inspected one side of the roof. He never actually checked the entire roof. 3. Did not check the appliances. He suggested that we should check them during the final walk through. 4. He missed the crack in a toilet bowl. 5. While Brent found two leaks in the basement, his diagnosis of the problem as well as suggested remedy were incorrect. We had to get a waterproofing expert to look at the basement to understand the real cause – there was a crack in the foundation, which Brent never bothered to check. 6. Brent was not straight forward in his answers to my questions about the basement leak. He was more worried about the deal falling through than giving me honest answers.

Ahhh the home purchase process, never a boring or dull moment. The time came for our home inspection and I was referred to the homestars website by a friend. I was suprised to see Brent having over a hundred reviews and all of them with a 10 star rating. Brent was such a pleasure to work with! Not only is he an professional with his approach to his work but he's also quality person with a great sense of humor which most people may not care about but I welcomed as we went through the home inspection.
