Dual feelings
About 5-6 years ago these guys installed me a new AC. The team worked well and I had no issues with them at all. AC stopped working in summer 2024. I called them and was told that the unit is still under vendor's warranty and I just have to pay for the service visit.
The guy named Gregory came and told me that he would have to replace a capacitor.
I was a little surprised when I saw the replacement unit. It looked way older than my original, had no markings on it and I suspected that it had been used before. I mentioned this to the tech and he responded that it was OK as far as the unit works. I told jim that I would pay for his visit about $300, and would prefer a new part. I had to call to their office and talk to the manager. Gregory went to the office and returned with a new part in the original package.
I had a very bad feeling that day. If I wouldn't just stop to check how the the work was going, he would install the old part and close the panel. And I would pay him for a new.
