Review from HomeOwner Review left on 27 Aug 2014Rating: 0 out of 5I contracted DK Conquest Construction and it was a nightmare. He does not know how to install properly the bath tub, the faucet, nor the tiles in the bathroom. He damaged the new tub we bought as he removed the plastic beofre he tiled the shower and the shower walls he did not waterproof. We had to fire him and start all over again with a new contractor. Be careful with that guy he is horrible. He is FRAUD.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

During a major renovation, my contractor recommended The Bathtub Doctor (Porcelec Ent. Ltd.) from Port Coquitlam to refinish my bathtub to save money. It cost me $337.05, the cost of a new bathtub, and shortly after the job was done, cracks began to show. I had the guy in twice to repair the cracks and each time was told it wasn't their fault that it was cracking and blamed it on something else. He finally told me that he would no longer honour his supposed 5-year warranty because it wasn't their fault. Here it is, 5 years later and the refinishing has peeled extensively and has cracked all around the tub. It also stains easily. I am now having to remove the tub, all of the tile and the new tile floor. I hope this will save someone else from "The Tub Doctor".Answer from pro:
As the owner of the refinishing division of the Bathtub Doctor I must say that I was not aware of this complaint until now. I do find it a bit odd that the price of the refinishing was $337.05 originally. We haven't charged under $400 for bathtub refinishing for well over 15 years and yet according to Susan's complaint it was done in approximately 2004. If you check out our rating on the BBB you will see that it is A+. We have been in business for over 50 years and have always strived to provide good customer service. I would be more than willing to contact Susan or have her contact myself to try to get to the bottom of this situation. We've been in business for so long that we often have people confuse our name with similar named company's. This may not be the case in this situation, but I would be more than willing to discuss it further with with Susan from Tsawwassen Sincerely, Lisa Rice, Owner
