    Blinds for entire house

Blinds have been back ordered for nearly 6 weeks and stuck at customs. Company never can give me an end date. I am only ever able to get people on voice mail. Staff leaves mid day without returning calls. Still not installed. Waiting over 6 weeks for blinds and was told 6 to 8 weeks INSTALLED. Finally received a call from them after leaving a nasty voice message. Blinds are to be installed next Friday. Why do I have to get nasty to get service?

    Blind Consultation & Sale

We had our entire home fitted with White Wooden Venetian Blinds from Cordell's Point of View Window Fashions. We went into their showroom for an initial consultation & once we'd decided what we wanted they had a saleswoman come to our home & help us decide all of the details for every window in our home from how many drawstring pulls, which side would operate opening vs. pulling up, which windows didn't require any (the window beside our front door), etc. She was very knowledgable & presented things we hadn't considered such as what the colour would look like from outside the house when they were closed & not just the interior colour scheme. It did seem to take quite a while to have the actual installation done, about 3 weeks after the consult. They did however provide us with temporary peel & stick paper blinds until ours were ready.

    Window coverings

We purchased window coverings for our dining room and bedroom. Great quality; however, the shades for the dining room had a flaw in the closing mechanism. Thye were not able to replace them with the same fabric, so they upgraded our fabric. We chose a beautiful new fabric and haven't had any problems since.

    Full house blinds

When we built our house 8 years ago, we dealt with Cordells and everything went smooth. We were happy with the blinds and had no problems at first. Since then, my vertical blinds have pulled out of the wall and the inside window blinds upstairs are horrible for cold weather and we can't close them or they build up ice on the window. I have turned my humidifier down but it still builds up water/ice. I had Cordells back to install the same vertical blinds in the bedrooms a few years back and overall it was a good experience although their prices are high. The fabric on my verticals is faded very badly and I wanted to get new fabric cut to fit. I have approaced Cordell's in the past at the home show and had mixed remarks on whether this was possible. First they said they wouldn't do it then they said they could. A few months ago I dealt with Diane/Diana at Cordells, brought them my old fabrice to measure and picked out a new one. Considering all the money I've spent there, for 2 blinds I was shocked when they came back with $725 for new fabric. What a rip! The fabric was cheap, they were charging me $410 for labour, just to sew over a few hems. I found a seamstress who was willing to do it for much cheaper and I found fabric for the same price that was nicer. Also Diane was extremely rude when I went to pick up my old fabric from them and told her I thought it was too expensive. I will never return, they have lost my business
