Cost - $33K for torch on roof/chimney masonry repair Issues: 1. Poor quality - roof leaking from an overhang onto our deck only 1.5 months after completion. Somehow, the angle doesn't allow the water to drain onto the drain. So, now, our deck (which is also new) has a pool of water on the floor from the roof. Apparently, we have to PAY EXTRA to have this fixed when it was their installer who did not foresee that the slope was not enough to drain properly. This is a new roof. To be charged extra to fix a poorly installed roof is ludicrous. 2. Poor responsiveness - email, called, texted, sent videos...(god knows what else) since September 20 2021 about this problem. It is now November 5 2021, and nothing has been done. Their rep/manager has gone MIA after being paid in FULL and wouldn't answer any of our calls/emails. Note: this work is supposed to be guaranteed. 3. Lack of professionalism: a. In the summer, they promised to finish the job before our daughter's birthday because we didn't want their trash container in our driveway for the guests to see. Job was finished literally 2 months after the birthday. And, they didn't pick up after themselves prior to the birthday. My husband and I had to pick up garbage that the crew has left on our yard (empty water bottles just thrown from the roof while working, food packaging, etc.). b. I had a very strange interaction where insults and curses were thrown at me because I gave one of their crews an earful for not answering/confirming when they were going to come to finish the job. On that day, we had an appointment with a medical specialist who we waited 8 months to see. The crew member gave us a couple of days notice. When I reprimanded him, he started yelling and cursing profanities at me and just drove off. When asked by their manager, apparently I made comments about his culture and said I was racist (untrue!!!). Hire at your own risk. I'm writing this to keep the pressure on this company to fix the work's defect. Right now, we have a bucket, catching the drips from a new roof that cost us $33K to install!!!

Had new torch on done by another company about 5 years ago. Drip leak in 4 places, called company that did roof and they would not come out to fix. Typical! Called Affordable Quality Roofing and they had their man out within 3 hours, in the dark, howling wind and pouring rain. Located leak (poor work from other company) and patched it up. Affordable guarantees a second call included in the price if it still leaks. I have not doubt they will be true to their word. Justin gave great customer service. Wish I had known about Affordable when I needed the whole roof done because if this small issue is an example of their great customer service I am sure they would have done an outstanding job with the whole roof! We are waiting to see if the leak comes back. Thank you Justin and Jose!

Phil was our contact on the replacement of our asphalt shingles and was very prompt providing a quote. He was most attentive to all details and and within two weeks we were re roofed. The crew did a great job and the site was left very clean. I was at home during the work and was on the roof many times and could see that all that the crew knew what they were doing. Phil did a follow up and personally adjusted some flashing over a bay window that I had questioned. We have had some heavy rain since the completion of the roof and not a hint of a leak. All is well. Thanks for a job well done

Our roof was on it's 23rd year of a 20 year guarantee and we started to put out quotes for a complete replacement. I received six quotes and after reviewing and talking to the different companies, decided to go with AQR. They were quick, efficient and they did a great job. We had a small problem with the roof and they were back to fix the problem within a few days. We have had some pretty heavy rains and no problems with the roof, gutters or skylights. Phil is excellent at communicating with the customer and also easy to get ahold of.

Our roof has been in need of replacement for many years but we held off because of cost involved. I was pleasantly surprised by the quote given to us by Phil. We had a chat with him about exactly what we were looking for and he gave us very professional advice. He was friendly, straightforward and easy to talk to. He gave the impression of knowing his stuff and could easily answer our questions and concerns. The crew were fast, efficient and pleasant. I have dealt with many contractors in the 30 plus years we have lived here with varying degrees of success. Phil and QAR are easily the best.

They were efficient, clean, and the quality control on the follow up inspection was something we certainly appreciated. Basically all in all dealing with Affordable Roofing was a positive experience and achieved the results we were looking for at a competitive price.

Just over a year later, we are still unsatisfied with our new roof. We felt we did our due diligence researching companies, and we drove to Vancouver to view previous work done by Affordable Quality. Beware: adresses provided in the binder are from work done with Affordable's previous owner. Perhaps this is the discrepancy in quality. In addition, on the first day of roofing, the truck read "Joe's Construction" and I feared they had contracted our job out. Justin, the company representative, assured us that the two companies had merged. We have now what appear to be ripples in several surfaces of our roof; an independant inspection suggested that the underlay was misapplied and therefore affected the roof's shingles. In certain light it is very noticeable. Clean up was atrocious. We found nails all over our driveway as well as sharp pieces of wood. Oil stains from a compressor were left on our concrete. The roofer who returned to "clean up" used WD40 and now our concrete has been stripped in the same areas, which looks just as bad. We had to clean up the nails ourselves. Justin, the representative, assured us that our shrubs and trees would be covered. This did not happen. Roofing material fell into trees and shrubs and damaged them. We are still finding this material as we garden and landscape. The owner knocked one hundred dollars off our $21, 000 bill for our trouble. Our gutters were damaged by the ladders, and the inspector stated that this was avoidable but the roofers were careless. When we expressed our concerns, excuses were made: a) the ripples would flatten with heat (one summer gone, still looking at them!) b) the mess in the driveway was left by the bin company and had nothing to do with Affordable Quality (didn't they hire them?) In short: Affordable? No. Quality? No. The company's owner knows we were unsatisfied but has not followed up. I invite him to do so and I will remove this review. Thanks.

We recently had our roof replaced by Affordable Quality Roofing. You run a very professional company we were very impressed with your presentation, communication, everything arriving on time and your extremely hard-working crew made for a very pleasant experience. Everything went perfectly and just as planned.

We hired Affordable Quality Roofing to remove our old tar and gravel roof and replaced it with Torch-On ... A great job was done by Josè and his crew - thanks guys!. Terry was fantastic to work with and he handled everything very professionally. Would highly recommend.

Our Triplex got a new roof installed last month by Affordable Quality Roofing, and we are very satisfied. Terry was easy to work with and professional. Dinmar and his crew were awesome, and did a great job installing our roof . After much research, we are glad we picked this company.
