This was our first time using Markelangelo's. They provided a great initial consultation and walked us through all of the options and answered all of our questions. The team that did the work was great as well. Very efficient, competent and friendly as well. We also appreciated the follow up after the job was done top make sure that we were happy with the work. Highly recommended!

This the second time I have used Markelangelo's Roofing (first time was at my old home in Barrhaven a few years ago and this time on my house in Old Ottawa South) and they simply do not disappoint. Mark was prompt, coming out to my home, giving me a competitive quote on the spot and even making a second trip out when I changed my mind about the shingle colour I wanted. Their staff were all very pleasant and incredibly hardworking. They left the property in immaculate condition and, of course, did a fantastic job on the roof. I highly highly recommend them!

I had dealt with the owner 15 years previously for a painting job, so I knew he was very reliable and ensured a quality job. Was not disappointed with the roof. The crew that came out were professional, were very careful with shrubs and other outdoor equipment, and did a great job. We are very happy with the finished product. The company was very easy to deal with and kept us updated on a continual basis.

We have recently had our roof and a skylight replaced by Markelangelos and we want to give a shout out to the crew who came to do the work. They were on time, efficient, hard working, professional and above all pleasant to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble, including moving plant pots and deck furniture out of harm’s way and then back when the job was done. They kept us informed about their progress and what was going to happen next. They finished on time, even while ducking the occasional shower. What a team, what a company. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

June 2021 update Markelangelo's just finished our GAF new roof installation at end of May 2021. We were very happy with them - good quality of work, great attention to detail and very polite staff. One month prior to start of work, its Operation's Manager Danny was proactively in touch with us to inform us what's ahead. The week prior to the start of work, Danny carefully remeasured our skylight opening, and reconfirmed our color choice for mental flashing. Danny also came back in person after the new roof installation to ensure the site is completely cleaned up, particularly our front garden which had extensive landscaping and our interlocked driveway. The installation team led by foreman Steve truly impressed us. They were punctually starting every morning by 7am. Very hard working with great attention to detail: From knocking on our neighbour's door ahead of project to get permission for access, to ensuring our landscaping are well protected'; from bringing down the bricks from chimney with extra care, to cleaning up each night after a very long day (12 hours+) before they left. We also found this team truly listens and acts like they are one. Everyone on the team is ready and happy to answer our questions and patiently explain the what, how and why. This team was able to quickly address all items we brought to their attention during installation. Say-do ratio is top notch vs any other contractors we've used. We did carefully chose Markelangelo based on neighbours' recommendation, homestar reviews and pricing competitiveness (see our earlier review from Nov 2020). For experienced roof installer with comparable years of experience, we're very happy with the end result and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We will strong recommend Markelangelo to anyone considering roof project in Ottawa. ------------------------------------------- Original review from Nov 2020 We just selected Markelangelo's Roofing for our new roof install next spring and thought to share our decision process for everyone's reference. Mark did a few roofs on our block in the past. we talked to these neighbours whose roofs were done by Mark 10+ years ago and received solid recommendation on workmanship and also responsiveness years after they paid the roof in full. For us that speaks loudest in terms of consumer confidence and satisfaction. We obtained several quotes from various sources over a 4 week period. All were recommended by either online or in person reviews. Mark's quote is among the most competitive when compared to other vendors with similar # of years in business, for similar roof system offering. We especially liked Mark's attention to detail noticing the specifics of my roof, ventilation, and fascia when he came in person to discuss the quote. Third, the interaction with Markelangelo's office staff has been consistently outstanding. Jessica and Andi work tireless to help us understand the details and revised the quote several time to fit our exact needs. These two ladies have always been positive and very responsive. Both of which went the extra miles to win our confidence. Lastly, even though there are very limited google reviews posted online vs other roofing vendors, we read through a lot more reviews over Homestars ... which backs up on high quality workmanship and a long standing trustworthy business. We feel confident in our new roofing system choice. We will report back on our experience with the roof installation when Markelangelo's roofing completes the job in May 2021.

No issues at all with the work they did. Super clear comms, super friendly folk and super great job that was done. And it's making me do more then 30 words, so that's why this last sentence is written.

Had an issue with some gutters at my front door, that another company installed. Had called the original installers who pushed for this as “not warranty” work. Decided to call someone else (Markelangelo) and see how they would respond. Danny came out, fixed the issue in short order, and reviewed the rest of the gutters / roof for any other potential issues. Highly recommend for professionalism and thorough work!

Great work done by Danny and the crew! Roof looks fantastic and functioning great during this first rain post install. They recommended adding gutters on a section of our upper roof that didn't have any to prevent the run off from landing on the lower roof and increase its longevity. An added benefit of the new section of gutters is that is it much quieter in the bedrooms on that side of the house now that the run off isn't pounding the lower roof. The crew was professional, clean and put in long hours to get the roof done in one day which was greatly appreciated during a long stretch of working from home.

We hired Markelangelo's to redo our roof and to also solve a problem with water sometimes leaking in around our chimney. Danny was very thorough in his investigation of the leak (from inside and outside), and very clear in explaining the cause and what he would do to fix it. The whole crew was very friendly and took all the necessary safety precautions while on the roof. We're very happy with our new roof and know that if we have any issues in the future that Danny and his team will be back to fix it. Thank you, Markelangelo's!

Was an absolute pleasure to work with this amazing company. Very professional very courteous very clean I cannot say enough good things about them. The price was very competitive and fair the workers were absolutely amazing. They showed up early in the morning left in the afternoon and you couldn't even tell that they were here. They cleaned up everything it was absolutely amazing. Definitely a professional job very professional stuff I will be recommending them to many people. Outstanding work guys keep it up.
