    Basement Waterproofing

In 2010 I bought a farm. There was a catastrophic flood in the basement with sand and water filling all the plumbing and furnace. After my insurance company cleaned up the mess, I hired Pioneer Waterproofing to make the basement water proof. In March 2011, Pioneer gave me a 20 year warranty on their work. Every year I have an episode where water comes through the wall and mould grows in the basement bedroom along and up the water. Pioneer sometimes comes but they do not make any real changes. In this dry year of 2016 I have have two episodes were water has seeped into the basement and mould has quickly grown. This is a chronic and expensive problem. I cannot rent or sell the property until the water proofing is working. Why does the company not dig down and find out where the leak is?

    Repair foundation cracks and waterproof

Excellent company. We had crack develop from poured foundation right up through brick facing. They explained what could be the cause beforehand, arrived on time, excavated and checked all possible causes, replaced weeping tile while there, repaired crack in foundation, ensured there was no undermining of footing before closing up, finished grade with top soil after and even added material to correct slope on the other side of house. On budget, no extra despite taking extra 2 days due to hard clay.

    Waterproofing basement

Ray is awesome. We had some issues with the original job and without hesitation, this company made it right, even though they travelled from Hamilton, No charge! They are an excellent company.

    Foundation Waterproofing

Pioneer Waterproofing was outstanding. Rick and company were professional, thorough, and took their time under some trying conditions (very wet ground ). They diagnosed the problems, fixed them, and were very customer oriented. I can't say enough about them. Thanks.

    Foundation Wall cracks & leaks

Bill promptly provided reasonably priced quote. Excellent & efficient workmanship. Repairs various cracks that leaked. One still leaked & was back to fix the day after I called, with no compaints from them but an actual apology! None have leaked since 2009 even with torrential rains. I am very pleased and have recommended company to various friends and family. 7 year warranty! P.S. I found out that this company is used by Tarion (New Home Warranty Co.) to fix basement issues.

    Basement wall and weeping tile

They were competitively priced and easy to contact / speak to before and during the project. I had a straight forward basement wall that needed waterproofing and in the process we discovered the weeping tile was plugged solid. Pioneer was able to arrange for the weeping tile to be power cleaned and bad sections replaced without fuss. They accomodated my minor requests and ultimately, what really matters... the water problem is fixed.

    Sealing leaks in a foundation

I called Pioneer in the summer for one simple reason: I'd called them 6 years ago to seal a corner of my foundation, and I'd totally forgotten about it. That's how you know a water problem has been solved. This time it was two corners on the opposite side of the foundation. Before I could do some internal work, I knew I had to stop the leaking I'd just been using towels to mop up. I watched the weather forecast constantly, dreading rain, dreading storms even more. Not good. Pioneer sent out an estimator who addressed several things I didn't know about, and we had to figure how to work around my garage. Every house is different; my house is about 55 years old. Workers were on time. They worked tidy, they worked efficiently, and they worked well. They answered all my questions (I like to hang around when work is being done on my house) and I learned things about my house. The best part? Dry as a bone. It's been about 7 months, and renos are going forward in my clean, dry basement. Thanks, Pioneer, for all three corners. And yeah, you'll probably be getting a call on the fourth one sometime in the near future.

    Answer from pro:

Thanks Lorraine . . . feel free to call us back anytime. And while we don't want you to forget us we are happy if you forget that you had that basement concern.

    Basement Waterproofing and refinish

I hired this company to take care of a water problem in my basement causing mold to grow from the bottom upwards in an already finished basement. It was a complete disaster. I was told by the owner Ray when he came by to check out the job before the start date that "there will be an experienced lead person on site so I can ask any questions and he will provide the answers." Most days it was a kid (I'd say he was barely in his 20's) being dropped off to do the work and he knew only what he was told to do - nothing else. There were permit problems - namely they said they didn't need them and I found out they did so the job was stopped for over a month while the permits were aquired. All the while my belongings were left in the driveway. They wanted to get the job started so fast they didn't wait for me to remove my stuff I was told they would take care of it and work around what they could. That meant throwing out what they could carry. The final job was hardly completed as a step they took out for the interior drainage was not replaced, did not want to replace the drywall they removed, the mold was left on interior walls (however, it was sprayed to stop the growth). I went to the BBB without success. It was a total nightmare and now almost 3 years later I am still hesitating to hire antother contractor because of the outcome from this experience.

    Answer from pro:

Pioneer endeavours to do everything possible to make sure their clients are satisfied with the work they do. While we are sorry this client is unhappy with this individual outcome, we stand by the municipal approval inspection of our work at her home as well our documented response to her concerns.

    waterproffing

these guy were very professional and very good at what they. I really like how they they treated me like I was there first priority. The only thing that really sucked was the price of the overall project. In the end I was Very happy with the results. Thanks for all your hard work!
