Chris and his team from Comfort King did an excellent job for us recently. They were pleasant and professional, completed the job efficiently and cleaned up well afterwards. This was our second major contract with Comfort King and from start to finish, from the sales people to the installers, everything has always worked out totally to our satisfaction.
They replaced all the windows and doors in my home. (actually my door is on one of the photos on this post) There is now a large gap on the door as the extruder keeps slipping. At first I was told they would not repair, told me to contact the manufacturer of the door as they "no longer deal with them" even though they are the ones who recommended the door to us. The manufacturer told us a minimum fee of 565 to come look at it.. finally Comfort King sent someone over, took the person 15 minutes to adjust extruder between the door frame and the side lights) only to have it slip 2 weeks later. A phone call and an email have gone with no response since July 15th, over 3 weeks. As you can see from the photos it is clearly shifting, and leaving a wide crack on the bottom half of the door and light streams in. This will not be good for winter...
Great company to work with. Professional in all dealings from start to finish, the staff at CK were very helpful and accommodating (5 stars) and the price was very reasonable. I replaced 3 bedroom windows in May 2017. In late 2019 I noticed moisture between the glass which would freeze into ice crystals in several of the panes. My warranty was a lifetime guarantee on the windows. When I called in early 2020 to report this problem I eventually was told there was no warranty on the windows as the supplier was out of business and it was not Comfort King who was responsible for the windows. In 2020, 2 employees came to look at the windows and did some caulking. This did not prevent the moisture to appear during that and subsequent winters. Discussions with the manager failed to provide any support or assistance with this problem. It was basically my problem not theirs. I understand there has been a change of ownership and the current ownership is not taking responsibility for windows supplied by the previous supplier. I had thought I was buying good quality windows from a long standing local company. This has not been the case However the manager I spoke with continued to take no responsibility for the windows which were defective within 2 years of installation. Repeated attempts failed to provide any help with the issue It is my understanding that Comfort King had changed ownership and appears to not be taking responsibility for windows sold prior to the change of ownership. I had put my confidence in a long standing local company only to be very disappointed in the manner in which I was dealt with. Basically I was told it was now my problem not Comfort Kings.
We had a fantastic experience with Comfort King. We hired them to replace all of the windows in our house, and they were one of the only companies that could do the specialized work needed to preserve some of our heritage inner windows while replacing the outer ones (without going the insert route, which we didn't want). They did an outstanding job. Our windows look beautiful and we get tons of compliments. The staff were pleasant and professional and very easy to work with. Installation went smoothly.
