Review from HomeOwner Review left on 22 Nov 2024Rating: 5 out of 5I am more than impressed with the service of this Burlington business. The owner John dropped by nearly everyday to see the progress and giving advice. The main worker Sebastian saved the wood-panels from the old bar and constructed the wall for the new powder-room. He even corrected the indifferent pipe job done previously some 50 years earlier. All in all, this is a A-class business, and we should all be proud of having such business here in Burlington.Review from Customer of Bathroom & Kitchen Galleries Customer of Bathroom & Kitchen Galleries

I am very happy with the renovation done by BK Bathroom and Galleries in my bathroom. Lara was very helpful with choosing taps, tiles, etc. I am certainly pleased with my choices and the workmanship done by Sebastian. He certainly is professional and a very tidy worker. I would certainly recommend this company and their workers.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

We recently were in dire need of an upgrade to our outdated main bathroom. Having not had a positive experience in the past with renovations, we entered into this project with reservations. We can say with certainty that entering into a contract with Bathroom and Kitchen Galleries/Burlington was the best decision we made. Ewelina was invaluable to us with her support and knowledge of the products available and worked tirelessly with us to put together our bathroom and kitchen floor renovation. John, the owner paid a home visit. He reviewed the space being renovated and advised us on any technical issues that might present a problem and assured us that these issues would not delay or prevent completion of the renovation. John’s confidence and assurance is why today we not only have our original tile selection installed, but we are absolutely thrilled with the final product. All the advising and product selections are important steps to a successful project, however without the dedication and hard work of our installer (Wes) our dreams would not have come true. Wes worked tirelessly to ensure that our renovation met our expectations. His hard work, dedication, attention to detail and friendly mannerisms is what made this renovation a positive experience. We would not hesitate in recommending Bathroom and Kitchen Galleries / Burlington. We love our new bathroom and kitchen floor and look forward to doing business with them again. This company provides the worst service and treat customers with disrespect. To make a very long story short, I paid over $5000 for 2 small wall mount custom vanities and 1 countertop from this company and experienced nothing but problems. Additionally, they thought it was acceptable to humiliate a customer when trying to resolve the issues. The sales rep (Lara) constantly made false claims and accusations. For one of the vanities Lara told me they could make a custom vanity in the style I wanted but then fabricated something very different without consulting me. Only after giving them $2700 and taking delivery of the boxed vanity did she tell me it couldn’t be done. Then she had the nerve to say, “Custom orders are final sale, check your invoice”. Instead of taking any responsibility her response was “you don’t listen”, and “you must be someone that likes to argue”. When the owner (John) got involved he employed bully tactics by constantly yelling over me while I was speaking. When I asked him if we could be handle this in a civilized fashion he said, “I used to be nice to people and got taken advantage of so now I am not nice anymore”. At one point he told me “you have nothing better to do than complain and give me a heart attack”. John was always too busy to deal with the issue. His favourite line was “I’ll call you back tomorrow” and never did. The initial transaction should have taken 3 weeks from sale to delivery, if they delivered what was promised. After a month of negotiating a settlement to exchange the vanities and waiting another 3 months for the replacement vanity to arrive they changed the deal the day before pick-up and demanded I pay another $500 to get the replacement vanity. Considering I have been living without a working bathroom vanity for 5 months now, and invested all this time and money and frustration, I had no other option but to surrender to their demands and move on. I completely regret buying from this company and recommend you don't either. Update: Company response just proves my point. Accusing a customer of blackmail and making up their own stories in an attempt to save their reputation. Unreal. You be the judge.Answer from pro:
We are a company with 5 showroom and in bathroom & kitchen business for 30 years, with a huge reputation in market. Mr. Joel was constantly changing his mind every now and then. He wanted Fairmont vanities and was not ready to wait for 4 months. He was informed from day one that we cannot copy, but can custom similar vanities. Also, he was informed in the very beginning that custom vanities are final sale. Mr. Joel accepted custom vanity and installed with the help of a handyman who damaged the vanity. Which proves that he was completely happy and satisfied with the vanity. Mr. Joel asked John for a favour to correct the wrong installation. John visited him and corrected the wrong installation of vanity by the handyman free of charge as a good gesture. Two weeks later the same story was repeated for the second vanity. Later he changed his mind and wanted the fairmont vanities, we have an exceptional customer service and we agreed to take back the already installed custom vanity provided he agrees, to the request to repair the damages done by his handyman, and to make the custom vanities into a saleable condition what he did not do. The fairmont vanities were supplied to him at cost price. The reason for this bad review is that Mr. Joel was blackmailing John to give him money back for repairs charged for the custom vanity to make it in saleble condition.

We hired this company since we had them do our bathroom three years earlier. Judging on our past experience with getting a quote, timeline, and workmanship we definitely hired them again. We had worked a bit with Lina before and Jonathan was new to us, but they helped incredibly with our choices and the building of the pantry side since there were some unique angles and spaces in this older home, we needed some professional help here. We also new the installer Wes and Sebastian since Wes did our bathroom to make it more accessible for myself and with that we knew how the work would be done, always asking questions about a unique situation and there were many in this kitchen and it did not phase him or Sebastian. Also the electrician Anatoly also showed what kind of work he does and for the kitchen did a remarkable job with no disturbances to the rest of the house. With any large renovation there is always some mysteries when you tear down a wall and this time everyone's adlibbing and creativeness created extra space on the unique pantry side, creating more floor space and a new cubby hole behind the pantry with the door in the stairwell to the basement. Lots of extra storage space that is easier to access. BONUS. Wes and Sebastian then cleaned up that stairwell creating more headroom to the utility basement. At the end of the project every where was cleaned inside and out where they worked. We are very happy with the entire process. Thanks to the entire team. We are very happy.Answer from pro:
Thank you Mark. Highly Appreciated.

We have used Bathroom & Kitchen Galleries, on three separate occasions, over the last few years. The first two projects were delivered on time and on budget with quality workmanship. The latest project involved the removal of a structural wall and took creative thinking, sometimes on the fly. John’s diligence and leadership, along with the team’s hard work, resulted in a beautiful reno. I look forward to working with Ewelina (Burlington office) in planning our kitchen reno.Answer from pro:

Review left on 14 Apr 2019Rating: 5 out of 5Master En Suite Renovation
From A Very Old and Dated 1999 Master En Suite...To My Dream Bathroom. It is said the first place potential buyers look when viewing a property, is the kitchen and the bathrooms. The two most important areas of any house for most people. Both in terms of efficiency, looks and investment. In June 2018 I visited Kitchen & Bathroom Galleries in Burlington to ask if they cold help me put together a plan for the renovation of our old En Suite, which was in dire needs of updating. Everything was builder's grade and showing the signs of wear and tear. Over the course of several months, I selected and purchased all the fixtures and fittings along with the various extras that we will benefit from as we age in our home. I cannot over emphasize how important it is to take some time to look at the various websites out there which can help you determine what you really like e.g. Houzz, Pinterest etc. It will help your designer focus upon your style and of course budget. Once all the components were purchased and ready for delivery...then the Contractors were able to begin demolition of the old bathroom. Demolition Day is an unbelievably quick process. Especially when you are in the hands of people who have plenty of practice and experience under their belt. The amount of preparation that goes into the planning stage once demolition is complete, will at this point in time pay dividends. There are a million and one variables that go into achieving the final result and every single detail counts. Lots of measuring, calculating, verification and consultation. Before demolition begins, the contractors will cover any furniture and protect your belongings by covering any open areas, blinds or flooring. Anywhere that could be affected by the dust that will ensue once demolition and renovation begins. They also change into indoor shoes when they arrive each morning. And clear up each evening before they leave. This was a thoughtful gesture which I appreciated. Your life will be upside down for the next little while! That I can guarantee. Electrical installations are handled separately at various stages of the project. This is determined by the progress and stages completed by the Contractors. An Electrical Inspection is officially made to the home both during electrical installation and for final inspection at the end of the project. One more tradesperson who contributed, took the template measurements for the two 9' tall glass panels in my shower stall. The installers were incredible at handling the sturdy glass (but glass nevertheless!) during installation. Each and every person who played an important role in my renovation has to be commended for their professionalism. You can be rest assured the people who K & B Galleries assign to your project are very passionate about what they do. Including the showroom staff. I would highly recommend Kitchen and Bathroom Galleries - Burlington based upon my personal experience. Thank you to everyone who helped create My Dream Bathroom.Answer from pro:
