Absolutely terrible. 1. They were incredibly rude. I received an email summarizing my balance due was $XXXX.XX. I paid this, as you would expect. The next day I get a call from their shipper, charging me for having stairs at my destination address. Why would this not be determined before sending out a balance due notification? As a moving company, is it not your duty to determine where you are picking things up and dropping them off before sending a bill to the customer? At no point did they apologize for billing me early, or attempt to explain what happened. They did, however, graciously offer to leave my things where they unloaded them, since I was unhappy with the charge. Suspiciously, the balance due was sent to me and subsequently paid on Nov. 30th, right at month end. Anything to pad the monthly sales report, eh? 2. They were reckless with my belongings. As you can see from the attached pictures, something from every box I packed was damaged. There is no possible way that they were any kind of careful with my belongings. 3. Deductible and insured damages. As you can see from the attached picture, belongings are only insured for $.60/lb unless a value is otherwise declared. I take fault for not claiming a value, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured they would be careful with my belongins. Boy was I wrong. There is a $425.00 deductible that will be deducted from the refund amount of your claim in case of damages. Alliance Van Lines, fortunately for them, didn't break the required weight of my belongings to successfully make a damages claim, as my deductible would be greater than my refund amount and I wasn't about to sign up for another invoice from these dopes. 4. On site delivery You would think that being in the presence of the owner of the belongings you were hired to move would inspire you to treat said items with respect. Unless you work for Alliance Van Lines that is. Not only was the crew vocal about their distaste for their own employer, the continued to damage my belongings and my drywall as they moved these belongings in. DO NOT USE ALLIANCE VAN LINES.

We arranged a move from ontario to alberta, pick up was good but they overcharged us by saying that we have more items than listed while infact the extra items were part of the same items such as sofa disassembled and wasnt count as 1 piece. When we received the stuff in alberta tables were dented also sofa was damaged. Dinning table chair leg broken. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone

My father moved from Montreal Quebec to Calgary. He is Elderly. Moved a car with their third party vehicle movers and household contents with Alliance. No care was taken with his boxes. All were damaged. What little furniture he brought with him was damaged and 12 boxes of his possessions were lost. This company does not care. The took no care of his possessions and once they are paid (you must pay for them to unload the truck) they really could not are less. I have not been contacted by any one in their claims department and it seems no one could really care less about his missing possessions. These are possessions that are of a sentimental value as my dead mothers china, All of it. The vehicle was damaged and things were also missing from it. All we want are our 12 boxes at this point and I do not think that it is too much to ask. They were supposed to take care of our possessions. Please DO NOT USE THIS COMPNY EVER!

Was charged to services not received, difference between estimate and final nearly doubled who uses $100 worth of bubble wrap for that I could buy a roll 24" X 188 foot they did not use that much

Terrible experience with this company. A ton of hidden costs - even to the point of "confirming my total" the day before and then adding on more fees when they delivered. I refused to pay the extra and they threatened to leave everything at the bottom of the staircase! Everything I had was severely damaged. Broken legs of furniture, tears in furniture and scratches in the wood floor. All the boxes were clearly thrown around as even properly packed boxes came back with all the contents shattered. Had to throw half my things out and I paid $2200 for the pleasure! They don't give you an option on storing your things in a warehouse before delivery, and then charge you for it! I put things through the insurance claim, took 2 months to get back to me and they offered me $55. No joke. DO NOT HIRE.

They withdrew $6000 from my credit card without my notice. I was lucky to find it and it took me 6 months to recover my partial money. ALso they force me to pay $900 extra which was not in the proposal.
