We hired Red Robin to do some parging and tuck pointing of our 1925 brick home. Mike gave a us a very competitive quote and was very professional. The work started on time, took as long as we were told (a rarity in the renovation business), with no hidden costs. Mike made sure we were satisfied with the work done before I was asked for payment and when we found a small area that went needed touch up, he fixed it up right way, no questions asked. Part of the job involved replacing a concrete window sill and he gave us a no cost upgrade of limestone instead of concrete. I would highly recommend Red Robin for any masonry needs.

When we needed a very fast quote for the removal and re-pouring of a new basement concrete floor, Mike was happy to provide it even though we were on a very tight timeline and he was busy with many projects. He was the only contractor who came out to the house right away and provided a written quote. Mike and his team arranged their projects to accommodate us. They removed the old cracked and uneven cement floor and put in a fantastic new cement floor. The windows in the basement were too small and awkward to pour the cement in, so it had to be brought in by hand down the stairs. They cleaned up very nicely afterwards. The basement floor looks great and we easily had new carpeting installed over it. Mike was great with keeping us in the loop throughout the project. A very skilled, helpful and honest contractor.

We recently got our bricks replaced around the house by Red Robin. Mike and Dave were great to deal with from start to finish, very honest fellows! I would highly recommend these guys if you are looking for a fair and reasonable price, but with good quality workmanship. I would definitely look for them again if I need any home projects done.

I recently constructed a small family room addition on my home. I took on the renovation and decided to be my own general contractor. At the beginning it was very frustrating and then I called Dave and Mike. The project became so much easier. I had them do everything from installing the blocks in my foundation to painting and hardwood flooring. They even made a beautiful stone accent wall on my north facing wall. If I didn't use Red Robin I would still be pulling my hair out working on this project. The project is done, we have a beautiful new room, and most of all my wife is happy. Thank you so much Mike and Dave. I couldn't have done it without you guys.

We had a number of quotes come in for this, and Mike was the first to suggest that it would be better to rebuild the leaning piller rather than tuck point it to make it straight. He came in competitively priced and was incredibly friendly all the way though the project which took about 4 days. There is one thing that made the service exceptional. When they took down the old piller, rather than using new bricks that would not match the color of the bricks on the rest of the house, they used the old bricks. However, at some point in the middle of the night, someone came onto the property and took about a third of the original bricks. This was going to cause a bit of a visual problem becuase half of the piller had been built, and that using new bricks would create an ugly multi colored piller. Rather than just buying new bricks, Mike went on a scavenger hunt, and was able to find some bricks that were almost an exact match. You wouldnt even know that there were 2 different style bricks used. Great work and would highly recommend them!

I woke up on a Sunday morning just like any other, turned on the tv and was inspired as many of you are by those home shows. I decided I wanted something nice, no not just nice but ornate yet rugged. Of course my conclusion was to have some great brick work done to match the my already spectacular yard. This is when I searched on homestars and had 6 quotes done I chose Red Robin when Mike came over with his rugged good looks and expansive knowledge of not only the "handy" aspect but also connected with me on the aesthetics of what I wanted to accomplish this is when I knew I was a Red Robin kind of guy. The end product was better than I could ever have imagined the cost was the most reasonable of any...... We couldn't have been more pleased with the work Mike and Dave did on our front steps and retaining wall this week. Their quote was very reasonable, and Mike and Dave were prompt, friendly, and a pleasure to deal with every step of the way. Their work was outstanding, totally transforming our retaining wall. We were having an addition put on the back of our house. After finally getting through the process of getting all the required permits from the city we got a number of quotes for the foundation work. Red Robin was very professional, seemed to be all about quality and came in at a good price. We hired them to do our block foundation for the addition and we have had no problems at all. Michael came promptly to give us an estimate and within 2 weeks he was here to do the job. Michael was very helpfull and patient in answering all questions that we had .The job itself was done well and the job site left clean. I would definitly use this company again.

After visiting a restaurant on Queen St W I decided that I like the look of interior brick. A friend of mine had told me about Home Stars and I thought that I would give it a shot. I contacted a few companies and Red Robin was the first to get back to me. Mike came by and gave me a quote two days afer I had called. After a long series of questions we realized that Mike knew what he was talking about. We received a few quotes afterwards. One was even cheaper but we felt safer going with Mike. The job looks great and we couldn't be any happier.
