Wall and attic insulation using airkrete and cellulose

My husband and I bought a fixer-upper century home that came with no insulation whatsoever. Airkrete was perfect for us to retrofit this house with insulation in the walls. We were also impressed with the efficiency and politeness of the EnviroTech crew. As well, the clean up and restoration of the walls afterward was very minimal. They were actually able to drill through the exterior brick of the house to insulate the walls on the main floor, which saved us from having to redo the wood paneling on the interior of these walls! We were so grateful for that, and the brick outside DID NOT look polka-dotted! This method of insulating saved us time and money compared to other methods. We also had cellulose blew into the attics, which caused very little dust, and didn't take long at all. We recommend EnvrioTech Solutions for all of your insulating needs! Christy McGriskin

house walls blown in insulation complete house

A well organized crew came in the early morning and worked well into the afternoon. Very together bunch of people - really knew what they were doing and worked with minimum amount of disterbance. I was able to carry on my business (which I do at home) throughout the whole day. I would recommend this Company to anyone. Very nice people as well, all of them; answered my many questions I had for them, then they gone. Job well done. Brian Pombiere

    Attic and wall insulation

After an energy audit I contacted Mark at Envirotech to look at our insulation needs. Had the attic insulated first with cellulose then the team came back a few weeks later to insulate my double brick house. Both times Ed, Paul and the team arrived on time and completed the work efficiently and with care. They were a pleasure to deal with.I would highly recommend Mark and his great group of guys to anyone who is interested in having this type of work done.

    Attic Insulation

Bumped to R50. Mark's guys were on time, efficient, hardworking, polite, and honest. They ran out of weatherstripping for the hatch during the installation, and Mark proactively followed up and arranged a second visit to finish that in a timely manner. Wish there are more contractors like these guys!

    Attic Insulation

We planned to make our home more energy efficient , so we got and Energy evaluation completed and one of the recommendations was to increase our attic insulation. We called Mark Connor at Enviro Tech Insulation and booked a date for Mark and his crew to come to our home to upgrade our existing insulation. We went from R-12 to R-50. They arrived on time, and put drop sheets down to protect our floors and carpets, they got to work right away first inspecting the two attics...we have a split level home..the crew worked for over four hours making sure that all the corners and edges were full of insulation and they found a gap ...about six feet of space that separated the two attic spaces that backed on to our bathroom wall...that was missing insulation all together!! Our bathroom has always been a cold spot and we had to keep the door open to keep some heat in there, now thanks to Mark and his crew...and a lot of insulation we will enjoy the use of the much warmer bathroom. Our attic has some very small spaces but the guys did'nt think twice about crawling into those spots and making sure that nothing was overlooked. They finished up, took all their hoses and equipment back to the truck and got out their vacuum and cleaned up all the stray pieces of insulation..They were very professional and considerate. And to boot we will get back $1500 in Government grants...more than enough to cover this project thanks so much Guys...Fantastic job!!Looking forward to the heating savings!!! We will definately be refering you to all our family and friends

Did go very well. Inspector found more insulation than required. Clean up was good. Very satisfied. Everything was done professionally and clean up was good. Even added vents for free which was very much appreciated.

Insulate the exterior walls of a 100+ year old farmhouse

I have just had EnviroTech Insulation install Airkrete foam insulation in my 108 year old farmhouse at Cherry Valley Retreat. Mark & his team were consistently polite and helpful. They did their absolute best to carefully prepare the house and protect my furnishing and property with plastic. They worked long hours to get the disruption in the house over with as soon as possible and they left the house and porch all cleaned up even vaccuming rugs and stairs, which had been covered. I have had insulation put in the attic and basement as well as all new windows to try and cut down on oil heating costs. My last fill up felt like a mortgage payment so I had to bite the bullet and get this done. Although twice as expensive as cellulose or fibreglass, there are Federal and Provincial grants available to contribute $3000 towards this. I haven't seen a heating season with this yet but I am told I can expect to pay up to 30% to 50% less next winter. Thanks to you Mark and your team! UPDATE - Last Saturday Nov 15th, when the snowstorm arrived I watched the power go out at 2.30am. No furnace, water or toilet for my expected 25 people Sunday. I had the woodstove going in the living room and absolutely NO HEAT LOSS!! The power came back on at 11am and the furnace didn't have to, in fact it didn;t kick in for the rest of the day. Only 12 people made it through the storm. It was a great opportunity to explain to all why the house was still cosy. Without your help my business would be in trouble. The farm house was always cold and damp-despite insulation in attic and basement, new roof, new windows, new furnace. Nothing made it cozy untill Air Krete. Couldn't have people coming in and being uncomfortable. You've made all the difference! Not to mention environmentally friendly, non-toxic etc I could go on and on.

insulation in exterior walls, headers, floor in crawlspace

WOW ....what a difference ... We just had the 2nd part of our energy audit done .They expected our 60 year old house to only get to an energy rating of 72 (started out at 52). Thanks to Envirotech Insulation and Airkrete we now have a energy rating of 78 .Even better than what was expected. The furnace only goes on 3-4 times a day .Total heating cost for the year $600 which includes running a gas water heater. The previous year was approx $1200 and it was drafty .Also being on a main street the traffic noise is now hardly noticeable. To think I was considering opening up walls and reinsulating and re drywalling and living in a construction zone. That process would have taken weeks or longer and would have been much more expensive, followed by daily cleaning of dust and don’t forget where are you going to move all your stuff too? After the 1 day Airkrete installation, a minor clean up and some basic drywall patching and painting of the exterior walls we were back to our home life as normal. And with the energy audit rebates we saved approx 75% on the installation costs.
