    Moving Service

Do NOT use this company - there will be damage and "hidden" costs and after the move the management will refuse to answer their phone or their emails - the management of this company is highly suspect.

    A move from a 2 bedroom townhouse to a 2 bedroom condo

40 mins late & slow - 5 hrs to move a 2 bdrm twnhse to a 2 bdrm condo 20 mins away. Charged 2 hrs travel time from N. Van to Knight & 21st & then SE Marine back to N. Van. Broke 3 pictures (glass of 2 & frame of a 3rd) & scratched 2 desks, a bookshelf & the frames of a couch & chair. Dresser sways when bumped & part of my bed never arrived. Took time out to smoke, talk on the phone & drum up business. It cost over $750. I moved stuff in & out of the truck to speed things along. Terrible service.

    Move possessions across town

On September 1st (probably the busiest moving day of the year) they moved a truckload of our stuff from a garage in Point Grey to our 8th-floor apartment in the West End. They squeezed us in, on this uber-busy day, thanks to a cancellation. We were able to observe their whole process from start to finish. First, they know what they are doing. The two-man crew rarely needed to confer with each other -- they de-constructed the "tetris jig-saw puzzle" of our tightly-packed possessions in the garage and then re-constructed it into their tightly-packed truck -- as they each understood what the other was doing. In short, they were well-choreographed. We also watched as they wrapped all our fragile stuff in moving blankets and saw how they carefully placed these items in "safer spots" in the truck. Result: no breakage or damage. Second, they also were very friendly and easy to deal with. They showed up at the promised time, went about their work with dispatch (you are paying by the hour, so this is reassuring), and even allowed us to judiciously help them (on small tasks where we "amateurs" would not slow them down with our "help"). The whole job took about as long as we expected and the price was quite reasonable. Finally, "Mark" in the office was very helpful as well. We actually had one moving blanket of our own that got mixed in with theirs at the end of the move because, well, they do all look alike. We called Mark and he was able to find our blanket among the hundreds he has and we worked out a time to get it back. Would we use them again? Yes. In fact we are planning to use them again when we move the rest of our stuff later this year.
