    Furnace/heat pump installation

    Installation was delayed by close to 6 weeks in Nov 2014. Then old furnace removed prior to new parts arriving. 3 weeks without heat. 4 months later flooding in April 2015 with 20 k damage due to inadequate drainage for high efficiency furnace that can produce I gal of water an hour. Contractor (Neil) would not cooperate in finding the reason for flooding. In addition, Gov rebates not registered and never received. Furnace/heat pump not registered with Goodman warranty. 2 years later parts which were supposed to be under warranty cost 2k to replace. Worst installer/contractor ever. Neil was rude and abusive at times in response to our queries. Even threatening.

    Aircinditioning

    We had an air conditioner installed last summer and it hardly ever works. It freezes up so we called them to come fix it. We were told it needed a new part so they fixed it. Then the second time it was because it didn't have enough gas. The third time it needed a new blower motor which they charged us for. The fourth time it needed a bigger pulley so now our house sounds like a jet plane. We had these people out for all of last summer for a brand new unit!!!! Well guess this summer is looking the same because last weeks heat wave caused the same thing. We called last week to the office and to Neil's emergency cell number and no one has called us back. We called again this morning and I noticed the office doesn't even give an emergency number now. This is the worst company I have ever used and they should not be in business. Shame on them!!!!!!

    Terrible Customer Service After Furnace Installation

    This company has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I had a furnace installed last March. They told me I would get a $250 dollar government rebate. I called back 2 months later and they told me it takes a while. I gave them to September and emailed them and called them about the rebate. They continually told me they would call or email me back but never would return a call or email. After trying to find an answer I called the government agency responsible for this and they told me this company didn't even register me. I called back a couple more times and they admitted the person who installed my furnace wasn't even eligible for the rebate. They continually told me they would get licenced and get me the rebate. I spoke to them on a number of dates and they continually told me they would get back to me but did not. I had to keep calling for an answer. Eventually, they told me they would send me a cheque for $250. After 3 weeks of waiting it never arrived. I tried calling back multiple times and they are not answering my calls. Do not use this company. They are not honest and the customer service is horrible.

    Ductless Heating Installation

    This company should not be in business! We gave a deposit on this job, $5500, and 6 months later are fighting for a refund. We are retired people and did not need this deceit in our lives. Buyer Beware

    New Furnace

    My existing builder grade carrier furnace stopped working on New Years Eve. I called Neil and he responded same day with one of his technicians to inspect the furnace. The secondary heat exchanger had died and Neil was very knowledgeable and confident in the problem. We eventually decided that it wasn't worth the money for the repair and decided to upgrade to a much higher quality furnace. Neil originally offered a Goodman furnace but wasn't available so provided an upgrade to a Keeprite without additional cost to us. I would be more than happy to recommend Durham Home Comfort to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy team. We were extremely satisfied.

    Service

    Fireplace service. Arrived on time and did a very thorough job of fixing our fireplace. The serviceman ( Dale, I believe ) was very courteous and gave some helpful advice. I will definitely call them again !

    New Furnace Purchase and Installation

    The service was EXCELLENT! They were absolutely professional, respectful and went way out of their way to make sure that I (their customer) was thoroughly happy. These people arranged last minute (because of the power outage, waiting until I called to tell them my power was returned), to group a team together and come out on Christmas Eve afternoon to start a take down and replacement of a new furnace! They did a fabulous job, explained everything they noticed and were extremely informative, helpful and efficient. After they left you wouldn't even know that they were there! Everything was left spotless and clean as if nothing had happened and presto....a brand new furnace! Check this company out! They do an excellent job!

    Air con install and water tank removal and install

    Recently had Neil and his workers install air con and remove a rental water tank and install a new one. They did an amazing job. They were very careful, quick and reliable. Would definitely recommend them.
