    Main Floor Renovation

    I bought my house six years ago knowing I would renovate the main floor. I am so happy that Trademark Renovations Ltd. was the company who made it happen. To see my year’s old vision come to life through the design and selection process to the actual transition was a great experience. Marc Gibbons is an exceptional project manager and communicator. He was very responsive to any questions I had. The cost tracking sheets that were provided with each invoice package where excellent in letting me know where the actual costs were to budget. Scheduling was great too, there was always someone working every day during the project. Tiffany Gibbons made the design and selection process such an enjoyable experience. Her ability to understand this vision I had and know my sense of style was incredible. After our first meeting and seeing the drawings she created, I knew it was going to be amazing. I appreciated the Trademark process, including the trade day and the review of all the quotes prior to the work starting. I lived at my house during the entire renovation and everyone who worked on the project was personable, respectful and kept the place clean. The craftsmanship is extraordinary and exceeded my imagination. I am truly living in my dream home, thanks to Trademark Renovations.

    House Renovation

    Absolutely superb service. Organized quote. Ahead of schedule. Wonderful trades. Excellent design suggestions. Great follow-up and warranty as well. Would absolutely recommend Blair and Marc with Trademark! Great job guys!!

    Basement Renovation

    We recently hired Trademark Renovations to develop our walk out basement, on the recommendation of a friend. Prior to meeting with Blair Foisy and Marc Gibbons, we had already had meetings with 3 other renovators to discuss our requirements and we were undecided about the approach we wanted to take. After our initial meeting and discussion regarding their ‘project management’ approach, we felt encouraged that the Trademark approach would work very well for us. It provided us the control over the costs and extent of the project as well as having the expertise of a range of ‘tried and tested’ trades people to complete it. The project started only after we were totally in agreement about expected costs and Trademark were very helpful and upfront about the costs adjusting them until we felt they were reasonable and within our budget. The project ran smoothly, all issues were dealt with efficiently and changes were made with prior consultation. The basement was completed within our planned 3 month time frame and there were very few and minor snagging items. We are fully satisfied with the outcome and would hire Trademark Renovations again for other projects. In particular I would recommend Marc Gibbons as a project manager.

    Complete Home Renovation

    Working with Trademark Renovations has been an excellent experience. We renovated the kitchen and 4 bathrooms, replaced flooring, windows, doors, millwork, and lighting throughout the house, and also replaced the roof and exterior siding. During our contractor selection process we were very impressed with the open process they use for their business model which allowed us to see the costs and quality going into our renovation and that we paid subcontractors directly. Their quoted prices were very competitive and with an aggressive timeline, minimizing our costs and disruption time while the work was done. The up front trade day enabled more detailed estimates from the subcontractors and made for a very smooth construction period. The few changes we asked for during this time were discussed and accommodated very professionally. There was great communication with Marc, our project manager, during the work and we were kept well informed. After the project was finished, the follow up work was done promptly. And the best part was the end result: the renovations were done with high quality, on time and within the planned budget. We would unhesitatingly recommend Trademark to anyone for a home renovation!

    Home renovation

    We recently completed a full exterior and partial interior renovation on our home using Trademark, including new roof, windows, siding, driveway, hardwood and built in entertainment centre. We had an excellent experience. The job was completed on time and under budget and to a very high standard. The people involved both at Trademark and the subcontractors they employed were professional and extremely pleasant to deal with. We were kept up to date on what was happening and received regular spreadsheets from Marc (our project manager) detailing the costs to date as compared to budget. We would be confident in recommending Trademark to anyone.

    Addition

    A sign of a great contractor is how he/she handles things when things go wrong. Blair is that great contractor. I hired Blair after I had multiple contractors and had become very distrustful of the many bad contractors out there. You know - the kind that don't show up on time, do a bad job then show up only to collect the money. Then came Blair. Blair not only had an open book policy of showing itemized subcontractor quotes, but he was always a pleasure to deal with and always responded to any questions, no matter how minor. Blair not only did a fantastic job on my addition work, but when things went wrong he stepped in and picked up the pieces. In particular, the concrete work needed remediation and Blair stuck with me through thick and thin over many years (since 2010) to make sure the remedial work was completed. Today (2014) marks the day when the final remedial work was done - most of the time was taken up with chasing the subcontractors and making sure they followed through. Words cannot express how grateful I am to Blair for all his help. There's a reason why Trademark regularly wins the Consumer Choice Awards.

It is very much appreciated.  Yes we definitely ran into some challenges during your project and as with anything, sometimes Murphy's Law comes into play. One of the fundamental rules that we practice is to treat each home and project as if it were our own home. Not only the quality of work but the process as a whole. To switch places with the homeowner and try to imagine their experience throughout the duration. Occasionally problems will arise but what is most important is how they are handled and that the customer is looked after, knowing that we are in their corner.  Not only did your home turn out fantastic, but I gained a friend in the process.  Thanks again Shanno!

    whole home renovation

    We hired Trademark after deciding we wanted to stay in our little bungalow with a growing family. We interviewed several other contractors (one wouldn't even give us a quote because they felt it wasn't worth the 'investment'). Blair came to our house three times before we hired him.. He was never annoyed by the multiple trips or our long list of questions. He was always professional and polite. A key factor in choosing Trademark was their 'open book' policy and the opportunity to use trades of our choice. This meant we always felt confident in getting the best possible price and weren't forced into using specific companies. Trademark has you to pay the trades/companies directly insuring there are no hidden fees! We were given spreadsheets regularly with the cost details and break downs. Nancy (our project manager) even picked up cheques and delivered them for us. This being said, we found that Trademarks professional contacts offered the best prices and highest quality! We had Trademark renovate our entire home (without additions or expansion of the homes footprint). It included a complete gut with the removal of interior walls, re-purposing rooms, a ton of concrete work in the basement with new plumbing and new windows sizes. Our project manger Nancy was amazing! She was attentive in every detail and we grew to think of her as part of our family...she was in our home everyday! In fact, all the trades were amazing. Even coming to our rescue first thing one morning when we had a leak in the roof. One call to Nancy and she had someone fixing things right away. Our project took approx 5 months...on time and on budget! Thank you Trademark for turning our tiny little bungalow into a functional space for a family of four (with teenagers!!). Who knew so much could be done with such a small space. Our friends and family are continually amazed by the transformation! This is a home we will love for many, many years...and when it comes time for an update, Trademark will be our first call!

    Full home renovation

    We did a complete home renovation with Trademark. We had an excellent experience. They were all extremely easy to work with. We were always made very aware of everything that was going on in the house. We were extremely satisfied with the end result. All projects were completed on time. It has been almost two years now since our renovation was completed and we love everything about our house still. Trademark was recommended to us by a friend and we have recommended them to friends since.

    Complete home reno - main and upstairs

    Complete reno of main and upstairs. Marc and team were fantastic and their commitment to detail, quality of work, etc. was exemplary. Integrity on all fronts and we have referred them onto our friends. Highly recommend!

    complete home renovation

    Very satisfied so far with the removal and rebuild process for our house renovation - we are completely tearing out main floor and basement and starting over. The pre-build information about the process and timing was accurate. The budget analysis pre-build was very thorough - Trademark seems to have considered everything that could be seen/might need changing, to minimize surprises. Of course, there are always surprises once you pull a house apart, but the analysis and recommended fixes have been prompt, thorough and accurate. The trades are all real professionals - clean, efficient, thinking ahead re: problem-solving. We haven't finished the reconstruction yet, but so far the process has been as painless as possible for a complete home renovation.
