Land-Con really came through for us, as we had just bought a new house that required significant landscaping (900 square face feet of retaining wall and a 1,700 sqft driveway). Initially, we got proposals from 8 different companies of varying size, including Land Con. Their proposal was not the least, but it was far from the most expensive. We chose them based on the level of detail they provided in their proposal, their willingness to work with us, their credentials (They actually have certification for retaining wall construction) and their 5 year warranty on all work. They started very quickly after we came to terms. They were literally at work by 7:30am, every morning of the project and, barring bad weather, generally kept going until 7pm. They went to extremes to keep our neighbors happy, including doing an excellent tidy up after work each and every day. All in all, it was really one of, if not THE most pleasant experiences we have had working with a contractor (and we have had many over the years). We actually miss seeing Matt and Jeremy every morning and every member of their crew was really great to deal with. I am looking forward to having them come back and do our backyard next year. Sorry Jeremy, it won't be as big a project as the front, but we can't think of having anyone else do the job at this point.

Ofer and his team are absolutely incredible. If HomeStars would allow us to give an 11 out of 10, LandCon would definitely get it! Our project included a backyard flagstone patio, with a curved natural stone sitting wall and a natural stone built-in BBQ. They also completed a walkway in the backyard running on the outside of the stone sitting wall. Ofer is one of the owners and is easy going and amazing to deal with. He gave us a start date and began two days ahead of this date; he committed to an end date and finished ahead of schedule. Our job had a lot of natural stone work where skilled people are critical. His guys (Gino, Steve, Sammy and the rest of the crew) were not only friendly but EXTREMELY skilled, knowledgeable and efficient. They would start early (8am) and work late (which in my case was a huge PLUS as I really needed this project completed on time). Pricing was also very fair compared to similar quotes. I took a chance with LandCon as I never used them before; I found them from signage in my area of landscape jobs they had completed in Forest Hill. I’m so happy I took the chance with them. The job was completed approximately 2 weeks ago and we love it! I’ve called Ofer back for a few minor items (replacing some SOD which didn’t take, mortaring a small area in the stone work); each time I called him he came back and did the adjustment right away (even after I paid him for the full job - amazing follow-up :). We are really delighted with the final product and overall experience with Ofer and his team. Thanks guys and well done! Highly recommend!

A huge thank you to the Land-Con team for transforming our garden! We approached them early April 2015 and Taylor was fast to come and assess our needs. He provided great ideas but always bearing in mind what would also work for us on our daily routine and needs. He helped us throughout design phase and as we booked the start date he also kept us up to date at all times on any delays (mainly due to heavy rain that week). Work commenced at full tilt beginning of June 2015 and Jeremy managed the project onsite. We were very happy with his approach even during some small hiccups throughout the process. Jeremy was also very accommodating with changes as required. Onsite daily we had Ron their Foreman and his crew and they were fantastic! Probably the best contractors we ever had onsite. Ron specifically took extra care on every detail to ensure smooth process for us and our neighbors. They worked hard to meet all timelines and the result is absolutely amazing! They were clean and organized and always ensured that even during construction the place was relatively organized. We are very happy with the work Land-Con provided and specifically their level of professionalism and quality of work. We have every neighbor commenting on the fantastic results and what a transformation we had during two weeks that they were onsite. Land-Con is certainly a company we recommend to any friends and family!

I hired Land-Con to replace a walkway and an asphalt driveway at my home. Jeff, who provided the quote, was very pleasant and the company was able to work with my schedule, and they started on time. However, I was not very happy with the work. I had to ask them to come back several times to fix things that were out of level or incomplete, and I finally gave up and fixed it myself when they asked for more money. On this job, they did all of the things that people hate about contractors - Jeremy failed to show up for a meeting with me, and then one of his guys showed up when they had not told me that he was coming. All-in-all, not a good experience and I would stay away from this company. With respect to Jeremy's response indicating that I asked for work that was not included in the contract, it is important to understand that the contract included replacement of a basement window well and re-grading of a garden bed in which the window well was located. I spent quite a lot of time explaining to Jeff how the basement had been waterproofed using an interior membrane and that the waterproofing system performed very well; but that water was gathering in the window well and that this drainage problem needed to be fixed. Instead, Land-Con replaced the bricks around the window. At the first heavy rainfall, water pooled up in the window well even more than before, to the extent that it ran right through the window and onto the basement floor. I sent a picture of this to Jeremy but he denied that addressing the drainage issue was ever part of the contract and asked for an additional $1,650 to fix the drainage issue. When I dug out the window well myself, I found that Land-Con had in fact installed two layers of impermeable plastic in the window well, separated by about a foot of soil. This plastic prevented the water from draining away into the waterproofing system. Thus, not only had Land-Con not fixed the drainage issue, they had actually made it much worse. The good news is that for what Land-Con was going to charge $1,650 to fix, I was able to fix myself in about two hours, using less than $50 in materials.

Ofer and the team did a great job on the backyard renovation. No matter how many questions we asked or suggestions we made the crew was always helpful and polite. They were here when they said and worked hard all day. There initial quotes and plans were detailed and although not the lowest or the highest of bids - they were the most responsive and eager for business. Great work

We have had the best results that you could have imagined. From our patio to walkway and driveway. The Workmanship and product that they recommended were beyond our expectation. Jeremy and the Land- Con team did an outstanding job on our complete back yard renovation. The process was seamless from start to finish and the result was better than we could have ever imagined. Truly our little slice of paradise. Highly recommend using Jeremy and the Land-Con team, they will make your dream a reality!

We met Taylor and Ofer at the home show in February. I was impressed by the amount of time spent with us answering questions and genuinely listening to what we were asking and hoping for. They took our contact information and followed through with a call. Taylor came by in April to access our back yard and it was his honesty to what could be done with our many trees and roots that I admired. He did not over promise and met our expectations fully in the design he created. I have nothing but admiration for the team that came to do the work last week. They were all courteous, extremely hard working and fun to work with. Ron the foreman was great to the guys and worked so hard to get everything done in the week we had. Everyday Ofer the company's owner was here on site checking the progress and answering our many questions, hand holding us through the process where needed! He was always accessible and could tell that the guys all really worked well with him. The transformation of back and front yards are spectacular and many neighbours have been round to let us know how much they like it. We could not be happier with our front and back garden! The Land-con company have been truly amazing to work with and we would highly recommend them. We definitely will be using them again!
