Great guys, great work. Said and Zain were friendly, knowledgeable. Did what was needed. Reasonable fee.

Disappointing experience with http://www.protechgarage.ca/. The first appointment was scheduled for a Saturday but was cancelled and rebooked by the company. The second appointment was the following Saturday, and all seemed well until the end. My garage door opened was 9 years old but in the box never used. The tech installed it but could not figure out a problem with the safety sensors, so my remote openers did not work and I could only open/close using the override button inside. He charged me full price and left telling me to contact the manufacturer for troubleshooting, but he said that knowing the opener was not under warranty. I spent the next 3 hours troubleshooting the opener myself for a job I paid in full. He said he tried replacing the sensors but that did not work. However, when I I picked up a replacement set of Chamberlain sensor from Canadian Tire and installed myself, it magically worked. The installer said he had 7 years of experience. I am not sure how he could miss such a simple issue as replacing two dead sensors, expect when I checked he only tried replacing one and not the other. My garage door opener works perfectly now, but very disappointing I was forced to pay full price for incomplete work.

Protech garage doors It happened at the worst possible time. My 25+ year old garage door opener finally died, with the door stuck open. It was a Friday night, bitterly cold (-21 Celsius) and with a winter storm warning posted by Environment Canada. I called, expecting to have to wait until the following week. Not so. Even though it was after hours on Friday, my service call was answered on the second ring and, less than 21 hours later, a new garage door opener had been installed, calibrated and working perfectly. (The previous one was, at more than 25 years, was too old to repair -- parts no longer available.) Despite the bitter cold, the technician was friendly, knowledgable, efficient, and took the time to explain available options. As well as installing the new opener unit, he serviced and lubricated the rest of the mechanism, including tracks, brackets and rollers. He gave me a thorough rundown of the features and operation of the new mechanism, as well as a mini course on maintenance. In all, just excellent, 10-star service!

Excellent service, showed up on time and with no hassel. Wasn't missing any parts so the job was completed in one afternoon. Friendly, and hassel free I would recommend this company to all our friends and family.

Great service...the installer showed up on time and had the door installed in the matter of a few hours.Very nice and informative and would definitely recommend them to anybody that requires any work done on the garage door as they were very honest and the work was done in a very timely maner and the price was very fair.

Pro-Tech prepared a detailed estimate on the work to be done and managed to stay within budget. In completing the job, Pro-Tech not only provided exceptional craftsmanship but introduced an element of creativity to their work. Also of significance was that the building manager at the condo commented that Pro-Tech was one of the best contractors they had ever had in the building in terms of their cleanliness and respect of condo protocols.
