Eagle fence came to look at the fence lifting out of the ground after one winter. The owner said he didn't install it because the workmanship was so poor. When I showed him the bill proving it was his company he left and never came back to fix the fence. Totally ignored my phone calls. I can't believe this company is still in business.Review from Jeff Jeff

Eagle Fencing did a great job! I contacted over 5 fencing companies to quote supplying and installing a wrought iron look fence around our pool. Only two came to the site to quote..Eagle was one. Jeton at Eagle was personable and professional. Jeton explained the time required to have the fence manufactured and the lead time required to do the install. The timing was exactly as they had stated and they emailed me to keep me informed. So nice to deal with a company that takes pride in a quality job that is done on time and on budget!!Answer from pro:
Thanks Jeff for the great words! Enjoy!

Before I hired him, he mentioned that he wouldn't be in business for so many years if he did not do good work, so I trusted him. Before we paid him, he was very nice and polite and professional, and he said 'guaranteed' everything. A few months after the fence was put up and after we paid him, we started to have issues with the fence, it was leaning and started to develop cracks on the post. I tried calling and emailing him but he would not reply. I had to use my wife's phone to get through to him because for some reason when I use my phone it goes to voicemail. When I talked to him he said that he will come to fix it, but he never did. Three times he mentioned that he would come over and never did. Eventually I had to pay another contractor to correct the fence issue. During the sales pitch Eagle Fencing said that what differentiated their workmanship was that they dig deeper and set the posts 4' below ground. However, our post was only 3' below ground when they put in our fence. They would put it in the ground and lop off the top of the post with a chainsaw.Answer from pro:
Hi Jack, We are interested in hearing who you dealt with. We looked through all of our contracts and do not have any contracts with anyone named Jack or any projects in the Toronto area. Please provide the individual you dealt with, your address, and your invoice number. Thanks

Hello Kenneth, As I can understand your frustration with a bad experience with a company, I strongly believe you wrote a review on the wrong company. We are Fence and Deck Contractors (we build fences and decks) and are completely dissociated with the sport of Fencing (white suits, face mask, and swords). As a company, we would like for you to remove your review of us as it does not relate to our business and its duties whatsoever. It has negatively affected our rating on Homestars and can put customers off to other businesses who perform the same service that we do. Thank you, and I hope your experience with other companies is more beneficial for you.

We decided on Eagle Fencing after receiving numerous quotes from other contractors, mostly because they were the only company that spent the time to come see our backyard before sending a quote. John also suggested using brown pressure treated lumber, which we might not have even known was an option as some contractors didn't suggest it, and when we went back to them they made it sound like it was harder to get, and more expensive. Not true, it was the exact same price! When we signed the quote, we were told it would be 4-6 weeks before they started the work, and I believe that it was exactly 4 weeks that they dug the post holes. After installing (perfectly I might add), they let them set for a week and returned to build the rest of the fence. To our surprise, they skillfully and efficiently built the fence for our large yard in one day! The two workers were very professional and courteous, cleaning up everything before they left, and even repaired a small section of fence backing on to our neighbours that had come apart early this summer. The fence looks absolutely beautiful and we think that it will last forever since it was built so well. We are incredibly impressed with Eagle Fencing and would highly recommend their services to anyone!Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner

So this is the third time someone in my family has used Eagle Fence (my second time - used them 5 years ago) and my first time organizing a neighborhood. Overall another great experience and I know this fence was done right. Here are the pros: - They will take their time and try to dig the post holes 4 feet deep (I would guess 95% of the post holes were 4 feet or very close to it). Another company across the street only did the post holes 3 to 3 1/2 deep, a couple were even less. - Jeton is very honest with you and won't give you BS (I did my research, one company got onto my email list and tried to pretend to be a homeowner and mislead me about other things), they are also insured by WSIB (if a company does not have this then you are liable if they get injured on your property, you can confirm this on the internet, another company mislead me and said they had it) and they have liability insurance. - they use better hardware on gates (don't have to reach over the gate to open it, there is a lever at the front), longer screws for the framing of the fence. - they are very accurate on doing the survey for the property line - 5 year warranty on the fence and you know they will still be around in 5 years - they have their own property where all the lumber is stored and you can go visit them - they bring the materials they need on that day where many companies have the loads of wood sitting on someones lawns for days or even weeks often damaging the lawn. -they clean up the garbage the same day before they leave. Other companies (like the one working across the street) will leave piles of garbage and only pick up once a week or longer. Cons: - they do cost a little more than many of the other fence companies and won't budge on their price (the better contractors are often more expensive once they get a good reputation), but you usually get what you pay for. What good is a warranty if the company is not around in a few years. - they are in high demand so their timelines are delayed, especially this year with all the rain. But once they start, they finish very quickly and don't leave to do other jobs. for example, the company working across the street started two weeks earlier and many houses are still waiting for their gates. - since I organized the neighborhood, I was relied on to pass on messages to Eagle Fence. I confirmed with them that I could just email the changes to them and I didn't have to send in a new estimate. I did that but some of the changes were not done or I had to regularly speak to the workers to make sure they were aware of the changes. I am not sure if they worked things out with the neighbors directly. Overall, highly recommended, do your research! and all backyard fences are not the same.Answer from pro:
Thank you Winston. Enjoy the new fence and for you organizing for your neighbours. Jeton

I am located in the 9th Line & 16th Ave area in Cornell, Markham. Myself and 7 of my neighbors chose to use Eagle Fencing to build our backyard fences with gates. We are sincerely glad we did. This company is competitive, punctual, does excellent and most of all is PROFESSIONAL. They use specialized machines that didn't leave any damage on my lawn. Right from the initial quote to the final product we can all say that this is the company to do business with. I am not the type to write reviews, but Eagle Fencing deserved it. To anyone looking, stop looking and use these guys, you'll be thrilled you did.Review from HomeOwner HomeOwner
