Ceiling fan repair
We had Scott from Gords Electric in Whitby, Ontario, attend for a ceiling fan issue. He attended twice in a very timely manner. Once for diagnosis and the second time for fan replacement after the fan was delivered to our place He was very professional, and after some brief conversation, it was obvious, he was quite knowledgeable.
We had an issue with the fan making a clunking sound on every revolution that started rather suddenly. Our thinking was that something came loose inside the fan. Scott attended and checked everything inside the fan and found nothing loose. Through his consultation with the fan manufacturer, (Hinkley), it was determined there was a defective bearing. Hinkley supplied a replacement fan under warranty. Scott reattended and removed and replaced the fan. On both occasions he was very meticulous in making sure every screw was tight; the safety cable was properly attached and all electrical connections were done properly. Fan was then checked for proper operation from the remote and ensuring no vibration.
