After spending half of the day on the phone with the city trying to get them to deal with a large raccoon which was exhibiting strange symptoms in my backyard, found these guys on the internet. Thank heavens!!! Called, explained the situation, they gave me options, and then they ran in and dealt with the situation before I could even get out the door. These guys are THE BEST!!! Fast, efficient, and courteous!!! To anyone who is dealing with a raccoon problem and are tired of dealing with the city/not knowing what company to go with; CALL SOS WILDLIFE CONTROL!!!! After hearing multiple footsteps coming from in my attic in the night I assumed there was a raccoon in my attic, I called several companies in regards to wildlife removal. SOS provided me with the earliest appointment and answered all my questions over the phone. Sherwin came. inspected my property. He found torn soffits the entry point from the raccoon along with multiple points of attempted entry. All possible points of entry are now all protected from the raccoons. The Soffits was repaired and he installed a temporary one-way door for the raccoon to leave. After completing this service I can say I am a very satisfied customer, raccoon free and will recommend their amazing services to everyone.

The SOS crew came when they said they would and were professional, knowledgable and efficient. I was extremely impressed with their work. They patched the hole where the bird was entering our attic and removed it quickly and humanely. Will definitely call again and recommend to friends.

At midnight, I heard a big bang downstairs in my kitchen. I came down to check what had fallen down – and to my surprise, there was a raccoon, perched on my kitchen counter, staring back at me. (Apparently, it had come down through my chimney.) My husband and I would then take the next two hours coming up with different ways of attempting to lure the raccoon out into the backyard. After it decided to run and hole itself up in the hollow of our cabinets, and we felt like we were at the limit of extraction experiments that were wise to try, it was time to call the professionals. I visited Homestars and called 6 or 7 other companies who advertised that they were available for emergency calls but never picked up, Sherwin did! And he was at my house within the hour, AT 2:30 IN THE MORNING. After I saw what it takes to remove a raccoon from my house, I am convinced it takes a professional. He came well prepared – even with a smoke bomb to smoke out that stubborn animal. And that animal put up a fight. But Sherwin won! Thanks to Sherwin we were saved from that ordeal approximately in a half hour. Extremely professional, but friendly...even a great sense of humour at 2:30 in the morning! I wholeheartedly recommend Sherwin for anyone who is looking for someone to remove wildlife from their property.

We heard raccoon babies in the attic, and called a few companies. Sherwin responded quickly, and was very detailed in his assessment and estimate of work. Came out at all hours of the night and morning, installed mesh to cover potential entry points and installed a one way door. Once the mom raccoon was out, we called and he responded at midnight right away. Precisely located the babies, cut a small hole in the ceiling, and made sure the raccoon babies were safely returned to their mom. Extremely friendly, extremely responsive, and incredible follow up. Very dedicated and caring professional. Highly, highly recommended! Sherwin is great!

A raccoon ripped apart one of my roof vents and gained access to my attic. It was a cold and rainy Friday afternoon and everybody I called went straight to voicemail. The next day (Saturday) I found SOS Wildlife on HomeStars. I called the number and Sherwin answered right away. I explained the problem and although he was in Mississauga and told me he could be at my house (East York) by 3pm. When Sherwin got to my place, he wasted no time getting on my roof to look at all of my roof vents, made some recommendations, did the work, came back a week later, and finished up. Here's what I loved about my experience with SOS Wildlife: - Sherwin is a pro. He took a video while on the roof and pointed out everything that was going on. He did a post-install video too (I tried to share, but Homestars won't let me upload video) - He removed the existing vent and installed a one-way door, along with a little "raccoon ladder" so the critter can crawl out (don't want him getting stuck in there!) - He recommended I cover all of my roof vents with a cage material that fits over my vents (7 in total, along with the vent stack.) It was more expensive, but after seeing what the raccoon could do, we decided it was good insurance for the future. - a week later, Sherwin returned, called me while I was at work for permission to return to finish his job. I gave him the ok to go ahead without me. - Sherwin, removed the one-way door and replaced my roof vent, and installed a cage to cover it. I manage customer service teams and I spend my days talking to staff about the importance of treating the customer right. In today's world, it's hard to find somebody that will do a professional job. It's even more challenging to find a professional who also focuses on customer service. I don't often write reviews, but Sherwin went far beyond the expectations I had for service. Sherwin: Thank you for easing my frustration and anxiety during my infestation. You knew exactly what to say, and you treated me professionally, not to mention the amazing work you did re-securing my home.

We had a family of raccoons (a mom and babies) living in our basement wall. Aside from the noise issue (scratching, etc.) a very strong smell started to develop in the room where they were camping out. We could no longer wait until the babies were old enough to leave the house and venture out for food. S.O.S WILDLIFE CONTROL came over and removed the babies from behind our basement wall. They also properly closed our chimney's and set up a one way door for the mother raccoon. The babies were placed on the roof, in a rubbermaid bin and covered in blankets, so that the mom could easily find the babies when she ventured out that night. S.O.S WILDLIFE CONTROL was professional and very effective in riding our home from raccoons. Thanks for the help!

When you have a wild animal in your attic, you feel scared. Normal! you are afraid for the safety of your family during your sleep. i shopped around and all companies try to feed your fear for many reasons i won't mention. The second Sherwin picked up the phone, i knew i was in good hands. He gives you options and explains the process and most important of all does the job right as if he is doing it for his own house. if i were to trust anyone doing this job i would only call SHERWIN.

Sherwin was able to come quickly. He came in was very professional explained everything to us before he started the job he walked us through everything that had been happening and what could happen. When completed he walked us through what the next step will be and answered all our questions

I recently purchased a house in Toronto and shortly after I started noticing some feces on my basement floor so I started researching and found out that I had a rat infestation. I went online right away and read some reviews on home stars and decided to contact sos wildlife control. they were very professional over the phone and even more so in person. I booked an appointment, they came and did a thorough investigation and found the entry point the rats were using. they not only closed the entry point but also set up rat bait stations / snap traps to take care of the rats in the future, inside and outside.
