We contracted Chris to repair a large deep stain from a previous owner (plant leak??). Pictured below are before and after photos. Chris is reliable, his extensive knowledge shows and his attention to detail is excellent! Despite the sanding, with his equipment it was virtually a dust free job. Both Chris and his assistant "young Chris" were polite, careful and respectful of our property. Chris's estimate was right on and I would not hesitate to recommend him for such jobs. Well done!!! If you need your floors refinished, we would HIGHLY recommend that you choose Excel! Chris was very professional and took the time to educate us about the entire process, before starting. As we don't live in Victoria and are prepping a family home for sale, Chris e-mailed us daily to keep us up to date. He even sent pictures when they were done. Upon returning to Victoria, I was absolutely thrilled to see the oak floors, that my father laid 60 years ago, returned to their original beauty and now even better! I recently had Chris from Excel Hardwood Floors come in and refinish my oak floors and stairs. I was very happy with the process and the results are outstanding. I asked them to come and quote on a Friday and the shifted their schedule to start work on the following Tuesday to accommodate my short timeline. After having the benefits of the water-based low/zero VOC products explained to me in a informative, but non-pushy manner I opted to go that route. The dry time was quick and smell is essentially nonexistent. I've been in a friend's house 3 weeks after the floors have been done with an oil-base finish and the smell can still be quite overwhelming. I would recommend Chris from Excel Floors for your refinishing project.
