Awesome job with topping up attic and I'm glad I did so, but I had another insulator here on an unrelated matter just a few months later and he said the work could be improved upon. I've attached pics of attic pro's work and the work my new guy did. I can't help but feel it is now better. Super nice guys but I feel a little let down.

We moved into our 30 year-old house a few years ago and the home inspector suggested that we needed to improve our attic insulation. He reported that we had 6 inches of insulation and an R rating of just 17. After some research, I sent out several requests for free estimates to insulation companies to perform our attic insulation top-up. Shawn at Atticpros responded to my request within a day, came to our house for an inspection the next day, showed us pictures of our attic, and quoted me his price later that night. After agreeing to the contract, Shawn confirmed an installation date for a week later. Shawn, and his crew of two others, showed up on time, did the job, cleaned up, and were gone within 2 hours. Shawn showed us pictures of his work after the project was completed and the attic certainly looked MUCH better. Everything went according to plan and the original quote was honoured. It was nice to work with a small company where the estimator is actually the contractor who will perform the job. No surprises. Atticpros installed 20 inches of new insulation (for an R value of 50), 28 baffles, insulated the hatch and also discovered that one of our bathroom exhaust fans was not properly vented to the outside. He added a coupling, insulated it, and redirected the vent to the outside. The whole experience with Atticpros was professional and went off according to plan. Thank you for a job well done.

Attic Pros topped up our existing insulation on June 11, 2023. In the original quote they expressed the importance of installing baffles (very important the quote said) between the trusses to the soffit so airflow would be maintained through the attic and would make a big difference in cooling the house on hot days. However, after completion of the job we didnt notice much, if any, difference in the temperature in the house on hot days. It was still very hot. I asked them about this problem and he said asphalt shingles are usually the biggest problem when the attic temperature stays hot. He then went on to say that we should install power roof vents in each of our two attic spaces with thermostats to remove excessive heat from the attic. Knowing the importance of airflow in the attic, I investigated further by removing a piece of soffit from the outside of the house only to find that the original contractor of the house had covered all the spaces that should have been open for ventilation to the attic with buffalo board completely sealing of any ventilation opportunity to the attic. I feel that an attic insulation contractor such as Attic Pros specializing in this line of work would have seen that the space for air flow was covered, and he should have informed us immediately but he chose to ignore that fact and blew in the insulation anyway. He did take one picture of a slot of light between one of the trusses , but I think he must have removed the board in order to take that picture. The trusses on either side of the one that had light showing through were dark so there was obviously no air flow between those trusses because they were blocked off by the buffalo board. We now have to bring in a contractor to remove the soffit so he can remove the buffalo board to provide ventilation to the attic. He then has to replace the old soffit or install new soffit. Shawn seemed very honest and professional from the time he first came to look at the job right to completion of the job. However, after we removed the soffit and discovered the blocked spaces we have tried to contact him several times and he has been unresponsive. Mark Litwiller

For the greener grants program, we were looking to upgrade our insulation. It was a bit complicated owing to the nature of our attic, so I had to get multiple quotes, and have multiple jobs completed prior to finalizing our insulation contractor. Shawn at Attic Pros was just exceptional throughout our quoting/questioning/booking process. He provided great insights and quick responses. Their work was top notch and they showed up punctually and completed the job while being cognizant of our sleeping child and doing a great job cleaning up after their work. I'd highly recommend Attic Pros to anyone looking to upgrade their insulation!

After shopping around for 5 months and extensive online researching, we decided to go with Attic Pro- that's how reasonable the pricing is and how convincing Shawn's knowledge about insulation is. Of course without any surprise, the work was beautifully done! Shawn and his crew are definitely someone who takes pride of their job, and it's not easy to find contractors like them these days. Will for sure recommend them!

I called about five insulation companies to give me quotes on adding more insulation to my attic. Attic Pros and one other company were the only ones to respond. Even though Attic Pros' quote was more expensive digging into the numbers they were offering much more than just blowing in new insulation like the other company. They added baffles to the attic which promotes air circulation making our home more heat/cooling efficient. They put insulation depth indicators in the attic so we can keep an eye how the insulation is settling. Shawn took before and after pictures to show us. They added weather stripping to the attic trap door and added more pink insulation on top of the attic trap door. Of course they showed up at the agreed time and there were no cost surprises. Overall we were very happy with the work provided.
