Looking for a new home to move into, we found the perfect home, until it wasn't. This home had a complete renovation due to water damage and we knew it would not last long on the market because the work was exceptional. The offer we made was accepted but was subject to inspection. We had to have someone hired quickly to do the inspection, so that subject could be removed. Luckily for us, Chris was available. He spent a few hours searching every nook and cranny of the house and didn't see anything untoward until he checked the mechanical room and found that poly-B pipes were still being used. The pipes were well past their life span and should have been replaced. As much as we loved this house, it was criminal that all this great work was done but the poly-B pipes remained. It was very easy to schedule an inspection with Chris despite all parties' busy schedule. We needed an inspection done for a condo before buying it, and Chris has done a fantastic thorough job for a reasonable price. He explained his findings to us, answered questions we've had, and recommended some improvements to the condo setup. Next time I will need an inspection done, I will definitely reach to Chris again.

We hired Chris to inspect our condo unit and the entire building a few years ago. (Sorry it has taken me so long to post this.) He was pleasant, professional and extremely knowledgeable. A couple of days after the inspection we were sent a 59 page written report, complete with pictures, containing a ton of useful information. We are in the market to find a new home. One of our subjects was to have that home inspected. Chris was extremely thorough, submitting a 69 page report to us. It was clear, easily understandable, and showed what items were of concern. Luckily this home had no fatal flaws but the report makes for a good punch list for future repairs and improvements.

We recently committed to a purchase contract for a modest unit in a vancouver high rise. We are very happy with our decision to choose Chris as our home inspector, after phone interviews with three other home inspectors. The following is few of the many reasons we know we made a right choice. 1. Chris’ very knowledgeable; his report is meticulous and thorough yet readable. It’s colour coded so that we cut to the chase and identify issues that need immediate attention. 2. Chris followed up with phone calls and encouraged me to phone him if future problem surfaced. A glaring example : long after Chris’s report, the seller hired their own inspector to rebut a missing drywall issue. After I emailed Chris for help, he took care of my enquiries promptly; this happens well after his job as an inspector’s finished. 3. Chris follows up with clients by taking time to explain and discuss with me the report and aftermath etc; he also reassured me that I can continue to call him for other potential issues. 3. Btw, the service fee he charged is very reasonable, we are satisfied with every penny spent. I’m very fortunate to have found Chris, someone with high integrity, honesty and reliability. Buying a home can be stressful but Chris’ opinion takes the guessing factors out which has alleviated some of our anxiety. I think I’ve found a gem! Thx so very much again. Chris helped us with the inspection of the place we ended up buying, and although I haven't seen others' work, the scope of what he covered and the report he provided at the end was very professional and extensive, and has to be way above average. He did not offer various "packages" as some other places I contacted did to charge extra for little things they would add, like using IR camera, etc., and did them mostly as part of his standard inspection, which was great! I contacted him after many months for some details (photos of the radiant heating system somewhere other than what he initially put in the report), and he kindly provided them and more info.

Chris is very professional, informative and very quick in responding to questions. We will definitely find Chris again when we are in need of a new home in the future.

Chris did a thorough review of the depreciation report prior to our in person inspection and brought to my attention all areas of concern. I actually negotiated a lower buying price because of the work that needed to be done on the building moving forward. I would not have known about this work had Chris not brought it up. His report gave me the confidence to buy! 10/10 would recommend.
