    Move packed up and unpacked

Wow ok so just from a phone conversation with Solomon yo the meeting with this young fella. We were confident in his abilities to do our move. His crews showed up to work and no slacking. We were moving from an acreage (17yrs later) so you can imagine the move. Our place was packed up, boxes were labelled and they delivered those boxes to the area at our new home and garage. Hell yes I would HIGHLY recommend Flex Movers

    Missing jewelry

During the move some items were broken but the main issue was my missing jewelry. It feel out the back of a dresser I was unaware had holes in the back. Two employees were involved. When I saw my belongs start to come out asked to retrieve the items but was told nothing fell out. The items were missing afterwards. I was “offered” a resolution after bringing the issue to their attention, only to be denied anything went missing from there account, and blocked on FB messenger. Their store changed a bit too, that everything was there to i moved it into a weird box. I lost numerous sentimental pieces. Lesson learned the hard way unfortunately.

    Answer from pro:

It took me sometime to fully think this through and ponder the events that transpired the day of Melissa’s move (June 15th).Most businesses would just do whatever it takes to make their customers happy, but there is a line that should not be crossed. In this specific case, Melissa claims that we stole jewelry from her jewelry case, but we can assure you, that is not the case. Here are the facts; 1. We fulfilled the moving aspect of the move, while Melissa fulfilled the packing aspect. 2. The jewelry case was very standard being 4 feet tall, 1 foot wide, and 1 foot across, a top that flips open, and 4 sturdy ornate wood legs. 3. This jewelry case was fully wrapped on the X axis by shrink wrap, and on the Y axis by our elastic band and blanket method (fully enveloped and tight). 4. The jewelry case was transported upright and secured upright in the back of the truck. 5. When we removed the band and blanket from the case as we placed the piece of furniture in new the apartment, there was a black coloured chain that stuck out at the back of said case. Scott and I then pushed the chain back into the case, as it seems that it was not properly removed from the case as we ask our clients to do. This was the only time we interacted with any jewelry and bear in mind Melissa witnessed this event in its entirety from start to finish. 6. Scott wasn’t an hour late; he was 20 minutes late because he was fulfilling another move on the other side of town. We made sure that we only charged Melissa for 2 movers when there were 2 movers there, and 3 movers when there were 3 movers there. We also provided an overall discount for the inconvenience. Here are the reasons we believe that there is no validity to Melissa’s claims’; 1. Melissa’s move was fulfilled on June 15th and she wrote her complaint on July 2nd (Approx. 2.5 weeks after the so-called incident). It’s quite alarming that Melissa chose to let us know the pieces of jewelry were missing 2.5 weeks after her move was fulfilled. If these pieces were of high value/sentiment, why wasn’t it brought to our attention right away so we can start assessing the circumstances? 2. On July 2nd, the date of the complaint, Melissa claimed that 2 pieces was missing. 2 days later Melissa’s story changed where the number of pieces missing went from 2 to 7 in total. 3. 4 days after the move (June 19th), I looked at some of the bills Melissa used to pay for her move, and after some thorough research, I discovered 19 of them were counterfeit. Now, I’m not sure if Melissa knew if they were fake or not, but in accordance to Canadian law, and because we accepted the bills (unbeknownst to us) we must take the loss. I didn’t say anything to Melissa when I discovered the bills were fake because I’m a business owner who doesn’t “want to rock the boat” and we always want to make sure that our customers are 100% happy. Melissa, I ask you, how do you think it looks when you give us fake bills, and decide to accuse us of stealing? By our perception, doesn’t it look like you’re just trying to squeeze money from us? To our prospective customers, we are an organization that always takes responsibility for any errors we make, but sometimes we must take a principled stand for what’s right. To other business owners out there that have come across individuals who pull a stunt like this to your business ; Sometimes doing the right thing is much more challenging then letting someone run over you like this. Remember, If you don’t stand up to these individuals , they will always continue running their scams. Thank you for reading, -Sol

    Appliance and Furniture Relocation

Titus and Lindon couldn't have been nicer. They arrived on time at the pick-up location. All of our belongings were carefully wrapped in blankets and loaded into their truck. Upon arrival at the new place, they quickly got to work. Everything was done before we knew it. If I ever have to move again, I know they will be my first call. Thanks again Titus and Lindon you were great!

    Moving on up!

Sol and his crew were professional and efficient during my move from a house to a condo - could not have done it without them! They were very careful with all my items, great communication throughout the process.
