    Tree pruning

I was quoted $150 per hour for a tree pruning service. They booked me in for Labour day Sunday at 8am. I rescheduled holiday plans as I needed the trees pruned urgently. The crew never showed up. They offered me a 15% discount if I was ok rescheduling. The crew arrived on time and took 45 minutes to complete the job. The next day I received an invoice showing the price at $150 per tree, for a total of $450 for the job prior to the 15% discount. It turns out that the quote was $150 per hour per person, so $300 per hour given that it was a two man crew. Jenron did offer to refund me what I paid, but I refused as they did perform the job that I had requested, and the quote error on their end was due to an employee being burnt out due to a hectic summer and covid-19 times. In ten years of dealing with Jenron this is the one and only time where such an issue occurred. I would have rated them 10/10 otherwise

    Not a trustworthy company

This company would require a lot of supervision and double checking. Products that I paid for were not the products I received. Was given inaccurate information about appropriate substitutions. work they claim to have done was not actually done although it was paid for. There are a lot of choices out there would recommend looking elsewhere. 9.19.2020 - Steve, in response, we had numerous discussions, it was brought to your attention repeatedly, the bottom line is your company is charging for things that are not delivered, and you do not make it right. Something as simple as planting a perennial properly does not seem to be a priority for your company, nor does choosing an appropriate tree for Calgary’s climate. Problems also included edging not installed properly, or being misled about what edging being appropriate for Calgary’s climate, incorrectly diagraming sprinklers installed under ground after having to pay extra for that diagram, among other things.

    Answer from pro:

I am so sorry. I assure you that if this was brought to our attention, we will take care of all that is needed. We would like any opportunity to make things perfect for you. If there are items you feel are being charged and not provided, bring them up with us. Payment on any project does not have to be provided until everything is perfect in the customer's (your) eyes. As for supervision, we are very sorry you felt you had to be over involved in the process. We wish this was not the case, we do double check a lot. I hope there is a way we can make this up to you? Steve

    Large Scale Landscape Construction

Exceptional! Having been in this industry I had high expectations, and Steve surpassed them with flying colours. His crews were polite, consistent, clean and very skilled. They were very hardworking and cleaned up at the end of each day. We interviewed 5 prominent landscape contractors, and I am glad we made the choice we did; I would have no hesitations to refer or use Jenron again.

Install of sod and sprinkler system

This whole service seemed like it was rushed just to get the money. My backyard is very lumpy, it seems like they did not take the time to prep the yard properly before laying sod. The sod they placed in our yard is growing well, except along the side of my house where the sprinklers do not reach all of the grass. In this location the grass is brown and dry. Initially, one of the sprinklers was placed right under the downspout; isn't that obviously a bad spot??? The water was just hitting downspout and coming right back down, so the water was just running down the side of my house. The owner of the company is very nice, but it seems like they had taken on too much at the time of this project, and just rushed through doing it.

    Answer from pro:

Krista, I apologize that that your service expectations were not met when we initially completed your landscaping in 2012. Your feedback was much needed at that time as we were landscaping too many houses on your street at the same time, and that lead to customers not getting the service that they deserved. I hope that in the last 3 years we have made up for it with the service we have provided (ie. irrigation maintenance and also for warranty follow up). Please don't hesitate to call or email if you feel that service could improve in any way. Thanks, Steve Kletke
