It was a pleasant and uneventful experience from the get go. The quote was competitive, people were courteous and professional and the quality of work is great. They certainly kept their promises and we definitely like the results. You can see before and after pictures attached.

We all know these days its hard to find a reliable contractor, someone who takes pride in their work, is trustworthy and doesn't ask for an unreasonable deposit to finance other jobs they have committed too. In my many years of home ownership I have had my fair share of unscrupulous contractors. Ron from Crossgate will renew your faith in the industry. he started the job when he said he would and completed when he said he would within the budget we discussed. He cleaned up after himself and the workmanship looks excellent to me.

The Team at Crossgate did a great job. From the beginning Ron was very engaged and had some great input into our ideas. They were punctual with their start date and built a solid deck in short time given the weather challenges. We would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

In July, a tree came down damaging our old, rotting fence beyond reasonable repair. Our neighbour contacted Ron because Crossgate has completed a number of projects (fences, decks, etc.) on our street and we admired their workmanship and the quality of the jobs completed. We shared this project with our neighbour and we're thrilled with the final result. We have a high quality, sturdy and attractive 6 ft. fence that has enhanced the look of our property and given us a higher degree of privacy. Thank you Ron! I highly recommend Crossgate.

The crew at Crossgate fencing did an incredible job dismantling our old fence and installing a solid 6 foot fence for us on our property. They were thorough and precise and worked very quickly to have it done in 2 days. The owner Ron was a joy to work with. We would definitely use them again.

I met Ron in 2019 in my quest to find a competent, honest and professional contractor to replace my old deck. I found his company while browsing homestars and based on the reviews took the decision to have a consultation. From the initial meeting I had a sense of peace, knew I had found the right person and immediately decided there was no need to look any further. I was provided with other estimates before which were extremely pricey . When I received an estimate from Ron along with a plan, I decided make my dream a reality. I however decided to get the project done in 2020 instead. Ron was Patient and respectful and waited until I was ready. Ron was easy to talk with,welcomed my vision and brought his to the table. He was courteous, consistent and delivered the highest quality work. The project was completed on time and my expectation was exceeded. Ron brought his creativity and added stones around the deck and alongside walkway. Because I was so pleased with deck I decided to add a new fence which Ron completed that fall. I have highly recommended Ron and his team to my friends. I would be my greatest pleasure to employ Ron to do another project because every time I walk unto my deck I feel blessed and content for having made that decision to use Ron. I wish him success as he continues to give of his best to his clients.

I think Simon in West Hill summed it up pretty nicely about Ron and Crossgate in his opening few sentences of his review. I would echo those thoughts exactly. Right from our initial conversation concerning a new deck, I felt so comfortable with Ron that I was ready to go with Crossgate even before getting other quotes. I thought Ron's quote was very reasonable and I decided to go with him even before receiving back other quotes. It turned out his was the lowest which tells me he isn’t out there to gouge you. Since my deck is elevated at 9ft, a building permit was required. Based on the deck layout I wanted, Ron provided me with hand drawn plans that easily got me the permit. We had issues with the building inspector on how the ledger board was suppose to be attached to the house that caused additional work and delays to the job. Despite all that, Ron did not rush to finish. He still took his time to do a quality job. There is the old saying about measure twice, cut once .... with Ron it's measure 10 times, cut once. Ron didn't just build me a deck, he build a piece of art. The lumber was premium quality and his work is top notched.

Ron was my second quote. Both was the same cost. The reason I pick Ron was he was very nice and sincere, he talk to us and explain what his plan to do the job. He fix our gate same day. My original deck was only 6 years old but due to extreme temperatures and south east location had weather damage. Ron came out to survey and advised the best material (Trex) for repair. He and his team worked around the clock to dismantle the old lumber and install new flooring. It turned out so beautiful that I decided to splurge and have the railings replaced as well. I can only recommend Ron and his company highly for precision and quality work. Love my newly improved deck now and no more power washing and protection required. Karin W
