Dryer stopping mid cycle and odd noise

The technician attempted to repair my dryer. He removed a small piece of plastic inside that may have been responsible for an odd intermittent noise. He could not find a good reason for why the dryer would be stopping mid cycle. He charged me for their service but he also said to call if the problem persists. The dryer continues to stop mid cycle. I have left multiple messages for a call back including a request to speak with the manager. I have given ample opportunity for them to get back in touch with me. No call back whatsoever. This is completely unacceptable. Would highly recommend being buyer aware with this company.

Dishwasher drawer not connecting to power bar

Dishwasher door "string/wire" attachment at the bottom of the machine had broken so door had to be firmly held when opening the machine which was very heavy and difficult to work with. Eventually the door did not connect to the power supply as it probably was out of alignment. The technician came the same day of the phone call, assessed the problem and arranged to return with the parts needed. A few days later I received a call to say that he had the parts and could do the repair that afternoon. I am completely satisfied with the work done and am happy to recommend Maple Appliances.

    Unprofessionalism

Contacted them regarding issues with my stove. The said they would come the following evening and provided me with a 2hr window, stating I would receive either a text or call when on way. The 2hr window came and gone without any contact from the company. I called them and all they said was the technician was held up at a previous call, and told me to continue to wait. They provided no apology or an estimated time of when they would arrive. The technician finally arrives an hr later, spends approximately 15 mins looking at the stove and says it isnt cost effective to repair. I offered to pay him for the service call, but he said its ok and to just wait for the invoice to be emailed. I was woken up the next day by the technician asking why I havent paid yet, despite not receiving an invoice yet. I finally received the invoice around 10 PM that evening. The next morning, I missed call from the technician again. I reviewed the invoice, and planned to pay via e transfer which the company accepts. Unfortunately, no where on the invoice did it provide information on how to do so. After emailing the company, I got a reply providing how to do so and I promptly paid the invoice. A week later, I receive a text and an email from the company stating my invoice was not paid. This whole process has been very unprofessional

    Kitchen Appliance Servicing

February 5, 2024 It was my First Time choosing Maple Leaf Appliance Repair to service my kitchen appliance. I loved their HomeStars business description, including their fair and transparent pricing, so I made an appointment! A highly skilled technician arrived promptly, greeting me in a kind and professionally friendly manner. Then the technician did a detailed diagnostic inspection of the appliance. Wow! I high-fived the technician's hand because I was personally impressed with the technician's excellent service which exceeded beyond my expectations :-). I can highly recommend Maple Leaf Appliance Repair to anyone looking for an excellent five star quality, memorable customer experience. And I will be recommending this service to other people for years to come. Thank you!!

    Out of Buck

Visiting our condo in Pitt Meadows, regarding a dishwasher, the technician was admirably professional. However, I found that this notation in the website was not exactly clear: " "DO I STILL HAVE TO PAY IF MY DISHWASHER REPAIR DOESNT WORK? Absolutely not! If we are unable to fix your dishwasher, you will not have to pay a penny." . . . The technician -- after making several unsuccessful attempts to repair our dishwasher -- was not entirely certain what was causing the problem, but he did indicate a couple of possibilities, which might be prohibitively costly. So, we paid $173.04 in total for a visit to be told that we were more or less out of luck. Even the senior's discount coupon notation also on the website was not exactly clear, for we discovered that it did not apply to the labour during inspection but rather only to the labour of an actual repair. So, I'm assuming that I simply misunderstood, and I guess that happens. Still, it cost a good chunk for a visit and possible estimates.

    Bosch Fridge

BE VERY WARY OF DEALING WITH THIS COMPANY - DO NOT RECOMMEND I'm SUPER generous, normally, with my reviews. I had even had a pretty decent experience with a previous 15-minute service call with them and had given a 5* review. We then tried to book them in again for a fridge repair and WOW was it ever bad. We had so many problems with Maple Leaf (and Vlad specifically). First was trying to even book the service. The receptionist would cut you off awkwardly mid-sentence and then act annoyed when she was corrected. When we finally got the service booked: 1) Repair guy shows up outside the hours we were told he'd be here. 2) Investigates the issue and tells us it will be expensive ($2500 for LABOUR for a 4-5 hour repair, plus a $350 part). 3) Says the part has no ETA. "Could be months" was what he literally said. 4) It comes time for him to leave and he tries to charge me, despite not being able to fix the issue. Maple Leaf claims on their web site if they can't fix it, you don't pay. When I bring this up, he suddenly is able to get an ETA of 4-5 days for the part. 5) I pay the service call fee and ask for an invoice for the proposed work. Repair man sends me a 6-word email with rough dollar amounts. As I've seen Vlad say to numerous dissatisfied customers on here, they should have reached out to him. So I reached out to him. Initially he was very polite. Apologized and told me he was refunding the service fee and that I should see it in a couple days on my card. Said he could book me in with his senior repair man December 23 (9 days later, but okay) and that appointment would be free as well. Pretty good start! Only the refund never came and the appointment had never been made. By the time Vlad actually looked at booking the appointment it was now for December 26. At this point he asks me to change my review. I say I won't change my review until our business has been concluded. He even reached out to me to see if I received the refund (that he never sent). I say no and say I'll let him know when it does. A few more days pass and still no refund, so I email Vlad with that information. He tells me he "cancelled the refund" because he thought I'd want to "put it towards the cost of the service" for the appointment on the 26th. I informed him that I was not pleased with him changing things yet again and asked him to refund the money as he claimed he would. I informed him that I'd updated this review and somehow the refund was able to happen immediately this time - but he had the gall to accuse me of trying to manipulate him with the review. This review is 100% accurate and contains exactly what happened between Vlad and myself. There is no manipulation involved and I've cancelled the appointment with Maple Leaf and will never use them again. I recommend you look elsewhere for your appliance repair needs.

Unable to determine problem however provided a quote

I paid for the estimation. The service technician came on time. He did not know what the problem was, however he quoted me a price of 279$ plus the piece. How can he know the price since the problem was unknown? He said he needed to check the internet for 30 minutes, 24 hours later he quoted, by text, the 279$ plus parts 96$, without describing the issue or specifying the part. I replied by text that it was too expensive and that I still do not know what was the issue. My washer is 10 years old, never had the discussion if it was worth repairing. I left a message in B.C., home of the company, never got a call back. I never received a diagnosis of the problem. The tech called today, stating that he has the part. He never saw my text reply to him.

    DO NOT BOOK!

DO NOT BOOK THIS COMPANY! They took my credit card information to secure the appointment, nobody showed up or called to cancel and they automatically billed my credit card. I called customer service and they couldnt explain why I was charged and someone was supposed to call me back multiple times. Nobody called back so I disputed the charge on my credit card and they had the audacity to refute my claim saying I cancelled the appointment. What?! My tenants and I waited for someone to show up ALL DAY to fix a leaky fridge, nobody cancelled the appointment.
