    Uneven Heating Issues

Left toilets in worse condition than were in before the supposed repair. Claim to have serviced In Floor Heating system; areas in house still not warming.; improper thermostats put in; do not respond with system. Use least expensive replacement parts, but charge excessive prices. Poor workmanship.

    Furnace

I consulted Max Heating two years ago due to uneven heat distribution in my home. I was advised that my two old Lennox furnaces should be replaced with one new efficient furnace by a brand I did not recognize (that should have been my first clue). As a result, the uneven heat distribution got WORSE!! When I complained, I was told by Dave that it was my fault for choosing to replace two furnaces with one. Stay away from this company -- at the front end reception service seems nice, but the boss and the technicians, the people responsible for the job, not only do not solve the issue you asked them to solve *they make it worse* . . . and then blame you.

    Incompetent - Endless Problems

Its been two years since Max Heating installed our furnace. New motherboard needed. Wrong thermostat. Didnt connect air conditioning. Missed connecting a duct. Endless problems due to shoddy work and no accountability. Avoid this company unless you want hassles and several times a year with no heat.

    AVOID THEM THEY ARE INCOMPETENT

Every part of this job has been terrible. My 83 year old mother has been in a house with 2 furnaces and no heat because the motherboard is broken on one furnace AND the humidifier has leaked and shorted the second. Also, faulty installation with gas leak. Didnt supply the correct thermostat. There has been NOTHING done correctly, and when contacted they are completely unhelpful, to the point of denying things like a proven gas leak. AVOID this company if you value your life. They are terrible.

    Unprofessional and unaccountable

We smelled gas after installation. Called ATCO. There was a gas leak. MaxHeating came out to resolve and just said you would have needed a perfect storm for this to be a problem. We did not think that having a gas leak was an ideal situation. Next failed city inspection. More work done. Then the following winter, furnace stopped working. New motherboard had to be installed. Fortunately for us one month before warranty ended. May 2023 discovered that in reinstalling motherboard did not reconnect air conditioning. No accountability for this error. AVOID this company.

They were efficient and punctual; did a great job. Such a relief to know all the bacteria is gone from our furnace. Excellent service!

    HVAC for Basement Development

Dave was recommended to me by the framer we used for our new basement development. What a great recommendation that was. When I first contacted him he gave me a rough estimate of the cost over the phone for running heat to three rooms, installing an exhaust fan for new bathroom, and solving a problem where the heat ducts were too low for a cabinet I wanted in the new family room. He came for his appointment on time and then went over the exact cost, and made suggestions where I would need cold air returns. Dave is very knowledgeable about heating and cooling and even offered some great suggestions regarding my ceiling bulkheads. Dave helped me out with another contractor's improper dryer ventilation. Dave holds an Alberta Journeyman Certification in Sheet Metal and Gas Fitting and willingly showed me his trade "tickets". Dave took out the HVAC permit for me and his work passed inspection first time. I highly recommend Max Heating and Air Conditioning.
