    AWOL

This company needs to explain to customers why they've been unavailable for the past ten days. Did not show up for a scheduled service and have not returned any calls. Building is locked up. I have been paying for a service plan and they have disappeared. Unacceptable behavior for a formerly exceptional company!

    Furnace and air conditioner

I needed to replace both my furnace and air conditioner as they were old. The Energy Centre was nothing short of quick, efficient, and cost effective compared to the rest. The customer service was great, which is a real rarity these days. Alexis was very nice and she booked me in quickly for the install. Then there was the installation team, they were great, too! They took the time to discuss my new equipment with me, i.e. new features in my brand new thermostat, proper care and use of the equipment, filtration, maintenance, etc. 10/10 stars!

Amazing quality of work for the price

I highly recommend this company. The quality of work that they provide for the price is unmatched. I had a few companies come into my home to give me pricing on a heat pump system. The energy centre gave me a price I couldnt refuse for workmanship I couldnt believe! Also If youre thinking of installing a new system I highly recommend you ask about their loyalty plan, Its a no brainer. Im very happy with my new heat pump and the service Im getting from the energy centre. 10 out of 10!

    Answer from pro:

Dear Laura, Because of your complaint regarding our phone lines being temporarily down due to technical difficulties, we decided to honor your complaint with a free furnace maintenance. During our technicians visit, he discovered that your hot water tank is 20 years old and made the appropriate recommendations to get it replaced. After he discussed a potential replacement and educated you on the performance of your furnace, he made a recommendation on file to replace your hot water tank because it is a liability for you at this age. He was simply doing his job. During the evening you called us while we were closed and left us a voice message saying your hot water tank isn't working. Joseph called you over the weekend during his time off to try and figure out what was going on with your tank and you decided to indirectly accuse him of having sabotaged your tank while he was there. We find it very disheartening that even after catering to your complaints regarding our technical difficulties by providing you with a free maintenance and educating you on your system, you would then accuse our staff of attempting to sabotage your system to gain a hot water tank installation from you, and even after, still helping you over the phone to get yourself going with hot water, you decide to right this review in an attempt to defame our company. You had your tank set to pilot and Joseph directed you on how to turn it back on, and now you have hot water again. But according to your review, you're mischaracterizing and misrepresenting the issue. We take cases like this very seriously. We are more than happy to bend over backwards to keep our clients happy, but we will not tolerate cases of defamation, and accusations of sabotage when we've done nothing but help you. We have all of this information documented and all calls recorded regarding your communication and interactions with our staff. We kindly ask that you remove your review as it is a grave misrepresentation and contains false accusations against our staff and our company. Yours truly, The Energy Centre Team.

    Furnace diagnostic/partial repair

My furnace stopped Jan.6/2020. I called for a service technician at 1:45 PM. I was told the charge would be $89.95 + tax. The technician arrived at 5:30PM and left at 6:30PM and issued me an invoice for time and a half as the call went into overtime. Charge was $152.49 and no heat that night but the technician said he needed to be paid so I paid the invoice. The technician came back Jan. 7 at 3:00PM and left at 5:30PM and still no heat but gave me an invoice for $494.37 that he said I needed to pay for and that he would come back the next day. I was not informed of the $165.00/hour furnace repair rate and had assumed that $89.95 was the company rate. Jan.8 I called and cancelled the service and tried to communicate the issue with customer service at the Energy centre to no avail. I called my bank and stopped payment on the credit card til I could get some resolution for the problem. Energy Centre has responded to the dispute insisting the chargeback is invalid. I offered to pay $120.49 for the diagnostic invoice since the arrival time of the technician should have been earlier in the day. I also offered to pay $240.00 for the 2.5 hours spent on repairs that didn't get the furnace running. I a a senior and very unhappy with the final resolution that is going to have the full amount charged to me reversed and back to this company.

    NEW Furnace and Air Conditioner

From our first conversation with Matt, we knew we were in good hands. It is nice to know that you can still find a company that puts you first, and is genuinely honest with reliable service. Matt's technical background was quite evident...he is very knowledgeable and was able to provide us the perfect system for us.

    Answer from pro:

Dear client, Thank you for choosing The Energy Centre! We are always one call away. Yours truly, The Team.

    Change furnace pipes

After learning the furnace pipes were out-of-date from a house inspector, I called up The Energy Center. Their three service technicians came to our house within two weeks and replaced all the pipes to meet the latest standards. One Chinese technician even worked over the weekend to have everything completed before leaving us behind. Excellent job!
