Anthony, Courtney and the team did an amazing job and delivered exactly what we asked for and made sure our project was done on time, even after the scope of the project got bigger while work was already started. We are really happy with the end result and can feel our floor is warmer after the garage ceiling was insulated. Very professional and organized. From my first contact with Anthony to the departure of Courtney and her team when the job was completed, this company provided exactly the service I had requested. Anthony answered all my questions and never rushed me into making my decision. The work crew arrived on time and kept me informed every step of the way about what to expect over the three days it took to complete the job. They took care to cover floors and other surfaces and did a great job vacuuming before they left. I could not have asked for more - thanks for a job well done!

Unfortunately the attic is arguably the most neglected area of the home when it comes to insulation, although it is one of the only places where the state of the insulation is visible, most have never even been up there to inspect it!!! Even when it is inspected by auditors, inspectors, contractors and homeowners alike, their lack of knowledge in regards to the building envelope makes most believe that a simple top-up is the solution, and sometimes it is, but many homes, especially the older residences that were built prior to the advancement of building science, have very old insulation that has lost its R-value, non-existent vapor barriers, uninsulated ductwork, exposed attic walls etc., all of which can lead to excessive heat loss, and serious issues such as mold. We pride ourselves on providing full assessments of the attic, and also advising on solutions to these problems, as well as doing our best to avoid potential issues in the near or distant future, as we offer a plethora of insulation applications which all can perform well given the right circumstances. Being a General Contractor for quite some time, I finally decided to take a leap and invest in building a custom home. As many in construction may know, securing a project of that magnitude without a portfolio is difficult, with the countless options available to the consumer. Really the only way to get into the game is by doing it yourself, so I found an older property on the Hamilton mountain that was decently priced and got to work. This being my "show" house, I wanted to enlist the best trades to aide in a stellar finished product in a timely manner as I was doing this with bank money accruing interest. I had seen Exotherm's trucks around the GTA, looked them up online and sent them a request on their website. From the initial call, to site visit, quote and ultimately the work performed, Exotherm exuded the utmost professionalism and passion for what they do, making me feel like my project was the only one that mattered. They applied spray foam to all exterior walls throughout, exposed ceilings/floors, rim joists and the perimeter of the attic, applied intumescent coating to the foam in the basement cold room which was being left exposed, installed sound attenuation batts in the basement ceiling and installed cellulose in the attic. They also handled the drywall installation, resilient channel and drywall finishing, all of which was done seamlessly and to a very high standard of quality, with constant communication and updates throughout, my other trades as well as the inspector even commented on how well the work was done. I couldn't imagine having used anybody else and although they were by far the most expensive quote I got, I feel it was well worth the money spent, thanks Exotherm!!!
