    Front step railing

We have been looking for a railing for our front step for quite some time. We went to Mr. Wrought Iron to look at some options. Charlee, who is very knowledgeable, walked us through the showroom and gave us some very good ideas about their products. She helped us pick out the railing that best suited our needs. Then Blaine came to our house and took the measurements. That's when he suggested a color change that better suited the brick and siding on our house. He told us it would take 3 to 4 weeks for manufacturing, painting, and insulation. One month later, Blaine came with the finished product and installed it. They look great, they blend right in like they had been in place since the house was built. They come with a powder-coated paint finish and a one year warranty. We are very happy with our decision to go to Mr. Wrought Iron for our front step railing.

    Quality and Style

I was looking for an exterior railing to attach to cement stairs leading onto my property. The common wood and aluminum options just were not what I wanted. A friend suggested wrought iron. Although a bit pricy by comparison it was definitely what I was looking for - sleek, attractive, long lasting and low maintenance. I selected Mr. Wrought Iron to do the work. They were by far the most responsive of the contractors I checked out and it was nice to see ideas for style and color in their show room. Blaine came out to take measurements and discuss the details... 2 months later the railing was installed and it was exactly what I envisioned.

    Answer from pro:

Thank you for your kind words. We take a lot of pride in our work and apricate your business.

    Safety pond cover

Commission a piece of backyard metal work in 2016 - a pond cover. Expensive, but elegant, and “we stand behind our product” – “we make lifetime products”. Failed over the 2016/2017 winter, ie within 1 year. A tough winter undoubtedly contributed to its early demise, but I’d say in hindsight it could have been made better. Contacted Mr. Wrought Iron for a discussion on fixing it. They came out to provide a quote. To my surprise, they took the item. The quote wasn’t really a “we can fix this, sorry we didn’t make it durable enough quote”. It was ¾ the cost of creating it in the first place. I wrote back to inquire: “what design improvements and work go into this quote, I’m surprised at it, I’m willing to pay something to have it fixed, but this is 5x expectation”. Blaine says take it or leave it, and no design improvements. Ie. I think I have you over the barrel so I’ll charge whatever I think I can, not a time and labour type “let’s get this back to you, thanks for covering our fix it costs, we’re sorry – this time it should last longer”. I responded by saying, in writing, please just return the item ASAP so I can make other arrangements, it’s a safety item. By the way, I never authorized you to remove it from my property, the agreement was “come see it yourself to provide a quote”. No response 10 days. Start calling. Various employees answer, say yeah we’ll mention it he’ll get back to you. Nothing. Ask around a bit as to what is going on… yeah… he does this all the time. All about pricing pressure and getting you over the barrel. Customer service? Ha. Standing behind product? Ha. Dumped it on my lawn a full 7 weeks later and walked away. I’m not out to get things for free, but I also know when I’m being played. Beware. There’s many artful welders out there who are better options.

    Stair railing

Mr. Wrought Iron was professional and patient. I showed them several pictures of designs I liked, and they came up with a final design. They allowed me to be apart of the entire process. I was invited to come down to the workshop several times to view the work and offer any suggestions that would ensure the project was perfect. We had the stairs installed 2 years ago and they are beautiful. I ended up with exactly what I wanted. I totally recommend everyone on the team. What a wonderful experience we had and we have something we will enjoy for many years to come.

    Outdoor Railings

The stairs outside had nothing to hold onto as you entered or exited the back door. I had visited the showroom at Mr. Wrought Iron and they were very friendly, no pressure, offered some great ideas. Came back a few weeks later and selected design. They sent someone to the house to measure and show the colours you can select (so many). I'm very pleased with the outcome of the railings. I'm thinking I need more iron designs around my home - it is that beautiful. Highly recommend.

    Front stair decorative railings

Mr. Wrought Iron's owner Blaine Mizera and staff, were very professional and helpful during our project process. They took our design concept and created a beautiful set of front stair railings for us that we will enjoy for many years. They invited us to make comments on the project during it's creation and we felt they truly listened to what we wanted. With confidence, I would definitely rate them high on quality, creativity, professionalism and work ethic.
