We contacted Rafael at Homebuild because we wanted to replace our front door and rebuild the front entrance enclosure. Rafael recommended a door supplier, which worked out just fine, and coordinated his team's construction with the door supply. The work was completed as scheduled, on time, and with minimal extra work (renovations always uncover unknowns, and the only issue encountered by Rafael was dealt with quickly and at minimal cost, to our satisfaction). Throughout, Rafael was an excellent communicator, keeping us informed at every step of the process and consulting with us (and providing good advice) whenever there was a question. The workers in his team were competent, friendly and respectful at all times. In facilitating door installation by the supplier, Rafael's team removed the existing exterior siding, then installed new Hardie board siding, replaced a column and installed a new doorbell. Every effort was made to minimize construction dust getting into our house, and to maintain a clean and safe worksite. Rafael himself was a pleasure to deal with. Rafael started a reno on our basement (plus replacing all the knob and tube in our house) just before the pandemic hit - and he managed to keep it going safely and complete it basically on time despite all the craziness in the world and with suppliers. We were living with an older family member through it all, so Rafael or his team even picked up certain items for us that would normally have been our responsibility and came to pick up payments where we were living while the reno was going on. We're very happy with the workmanship and the results. When there was a problem, Rafael solved it. I'd recommend his company to anyone.

We are very happy with our new fence. This is the second project on which Rafael and his team worked with us, and we would highly recommend them. They have have an excellent work ethic and are respectful and hard working. Rafael is extremely responsive and always happy to address any questions or concerns. The materials were good quality, and the changes in grade meant that considerable skill was required. The end result is beautiful and impressive.

Rafael and his team helped us prepare the home we put on the market, and to renovate the home we moved into in early January. Rafael was knowledgeable, highly skilled and conscientious. The services he and his team provided ranged from electrical, plumbing and specialized contractors. Anything we needed: he was there and had a solution. He always took the time to explain pros/cons of various options, and costs of the work. We are thrilled with the results. Rafael and his team were responsive communicators and extremely trustworthy. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use their services for future projects.

Rafael is very professional and provide a detailed and clear to understand quotation/scope of work. The timeline is clear as well and he helps to go through it easily. We are really satisfied of his work that has been done on time and with no imperfections. Rafael helps always to find the most cost effective solution according to your wishes and try to it within your budget. We’ve started with the living room, dining room and kitchen and then we decided to award him also our two bathrooms renovation. I strongly recommend Homebuild SA. You won’t be disappointed.

I would recommend Rafael and his team highly. I have had and heard of so many horror stories from other contractors but I can tell you this company is not one of them. They are professional and wait for it - this is our second large project with Rafael - they are ON TIME and ON BUDGET. These are critical points and game changers for us. When you get your Incredibly detailed quote it includes the weekly budget that you agree and sign every week. Rafael keeps you informed every step of the way. There are no surprises. If for some reason, the scope changes either by you or there is an issue that has to be dealt with, they lay out all our options and you will receive a quote to approve in record time. Also, Rafael is super responsive. I honestly can’t say enough about their work. The quality of the workmanship is amazing. They aren’t doing it unless it is done right and to code. I really can’t say enough about how amazing they are to work with.

After collecting multiple quotes we hired HomeBuild SA to renovate our wet basement. It wasn’t the lowest quote but Rafael provided the most thorough detailed quote which helped us get a great understanding of exactly what we would be getting and where our money was being spent. The condition of our basement was much worse when drywall and insulation was removed which we sort of anticipated but we’re hoping wasn’t the case. Rafael brought in Manny who was very knowledgeable and did a great job waterproofing our basement. We originally thought about keeping our outdated but still functional basement bathroom but with all the work that was going on, we decided to pull the trigger and do the bathroom as well. This gave us the opportunity to reconfigure the bathroom and create a more functional layout. Rafael introduced us to Alona who is an amazing designer and quickly put together a new layout for the entire basement that exceeded our expectations. There was always a lot going on, but Rafael stuck to his schedule and his team of experts that were brought in were exceptional. We felt stressed at the beginning when this process started but by the end we had zero concerns because we knew we hired the right contractor. Rafael is always on point with quality of workmanship, maintaining a tidy efficient site, sticking to the timeline, providing progress updates, keeping our budget in check and so much more. HomeBuild SA is the team that goes above and beyond! We are extremely happy. Our basement turned out far better than what we had hoped. We are eager to start planning our next reno project with HomeBuild SA and highly recommend them for whatever project you have in mind.

After meeting several contractors, my wife and I embarked on a bathroom install on the third floor of our 100-year-old Beaches home with Rafael and his team. Having worked with other contractors in the past, we were bracing ourselves for a messy disruption in our daily lives. In the end, our worries were completely unfounded as we were blown away by how smoothly the project went. There were several areas where we were particularly impressed. 1. Communication: Rafael was very hands on from the time of the quote to the completion of the project. The quote was very clearly laid out so that we knew what to expect throughout the process. He spent a significant amount of time on-site (essentially daily) and was extremely responsive to any questions that came up through the project. Overall a pleasure to communicate with! 2. Workmanship: It was clear that the team was extremely detail-oriented and proud of the work that they were doing. From the demolition to the plumbing, electrical, drywall and tiling, there were no cut corners. Everyone showed up on time and worked hard through the day, while at the same time being respectful of the fact that we were living in the space (with a newborn!). 3. Cleanliness: At the end of each day, the team made sure to keep not only the bathroom work-site, but also the adjacent stairwell and entry to our home spotless. Unlike other projects that we have had done, it didn’t feel like we were living on a work site – something that we had thought was a given with other contractors. Truly amazing! In the end, we can’t be happier with the final project. Finished on time and on budget to an outstanding level of finish. I would not hesitate to recommend HomeBuild to anyone, and they will be our go-to team for other projects in the future!

We hired Rafael and his team to renovate our two upstairs bathrooms and were extremely happy that we did. While we did not change the layouts of the bathrooms, we ripped everything out back to the studs and completely updated everything in them. Andres and Roman worked full days every single weekday for approximately six weeks and completed the job on time and on budget. Rafael came to the house at least every Friday to check on progress and let us know what would be happening next and to answer all of our questions (we had lots!). We would absolutely recommend Home Build S.A. to anyone else - Rafael was professional and prepared a very detailed quote and payment schedule to start with, and was very transparent whenever additional work that we requested was out of the initial scope and how much extra it would cost (for example, we decided to do a complicated tile pattern and to add a custom built-in cabinet - for both, he explained how much they would cost in advance so we could decide whether to move forward with them). He was also very easy to get in touch with via phone or text at all times, even during evenings and on weekends. His crew was very professional and friendly and we never had any concerns leaving them alone in our house (they even took great care of our dog, who now misses having his friends around all the time). All of the other tradespeople who were brought in (plumber, electrician, painter, cabinet maker, etc.) were also great. Overall we are extremely happy with the results (pictures of the final products attached - unfortunately I can't figure out how to rotate them properly on this website) and we will definitely use Rafael and his team for our next renovation project. We would highly recommend them for any renovation projects around the house.
