Our furnace fan quick working on the Saturday morning of a long weekend and we were fortunate Andrey was available that morning for a call. It was the first time we had used his company and we were very happy with his service and remedy. When business opened Tuesday after the holiday, we got the part Tuesday morning came to fix. My brother decided to get a small air conditioner unit for his apartment. Being on a fixed income and with his finances under the care of a trust as he is disabled we decided to get a few quotes. My brother sent me his quote from Andrey the total was 1.800 and the unit was 588. I thought 1.200 was quite high to install the unit so I called Andrey and asked if I could get a break down of the quote. He refused, got very belligerent and said I was accusing him of something ? And then he proceeded to tell me he was the owner of the company and he didnt have time to make everyone happy?? I have worked with contractors for many years I am absolutely shocked and to be quite honest horrified how he handled the whole situation! We will now begin to look for another quote. I am a advocate for people who suffer from mental illness and I wouldnt wish this disease on anyone. I really hope Andrey never has to deal with a family member who has one!Answer from pro:
You are greatly exaggerating, Teresa: I was polite, apologized a thousand times, but still refused to satisfy your request to provide the quote breakdown for quite a few objective reasons. First, we provide firm quotes to our clients which guarantee that a cost will stay as declared after completion of a project. In order to do that, potential risks must be taken into account. Second, each project consists of a site visit, preparation of a quote (which in turn requires to do marketing research), picking up equipment and materials, preparing paperwork. All of the above is being taken in to consideration and is not a subject for discussion with a customer. Last (but not least), there is a number of companies on the market who provide similar services, so that our prospective clients are more than welcomed to pick as many quotes as needed and choose a company they want to work with. Having that said, we encourage our clients to do their own research before choosing Quick Cool as a service provider; meanwhile, we propose an effective scheme which does not involve further correction at the request of the client. Andrey and Mackenzie did an excellent job installing our new Daikin mini heat pump in late June. We had it installed just before the current heat wave in Vancouver and we love having our AC when it gets this hot. Make sure you book them early as there is low stock and they're busy for months. I found Quick Cool Heating and Air Conditioning Ltd on Homestars. I was impressed by their high rating and customer satisfaction. When Andrey called me to do an initial chat and came over for an inspection of my townhome, I had a good feeling about his work. He asked a lot of questions and helped me understand how the ducting would go though my townhouse (there needed to drill holes thru my drywall and some studs). I had 2 other quotes but felt this was the business to go with. Andrey provided me a quote and the appropriate documentation of the heat pump. On the week of the install, Andrey and his assistance Mackenzie were prepared and professional in their 4 days at my place. Each day, they cleaned up after themselves and my wife was impressed each day she came home. Andrey kept me in the loop with his communication and was quick to respond to my inquires. After the installation, I had to call Quick Cool 2 more times to check on the ducts. One duct was dripping slowly in our closet. Andrey came in ~1 hour to quickly redo the drainage line. The leak was fixed. The next time was during our 40+ degree heat wave in Vancouver. One of the ducts had a lot of condensation and was blowing cold droplets. Mackenzie came in ~2 hours and inspected the duct. I was satisfied with his explanation with the extra condensation. I only have great things to say about Quick Cool's work! Very professional, excellence communication and quick to respond. This is the best $$$$$ I've ever spent! A+++++Answer from pro:

I had two ducts that needed to be looked at. One was a kitchen fan duct that we'd been advised to have inspected for flow – they successfully measured it and calculated it to be in good working order which was great. The other was a bathroom fan, which was quite noisy. Luckily the problem was located quite close to the fan intake, and they were able to make it much quieter quite quickly. Glad I got in touch with them, everything was very reasonable.Answer from pro:

Best choice in picking this company for my A/C unit installation. Andrey was incredible from providing estimate, setting up install date, actual installation and follow up to my queries. It was a pleasure dealing with him. Andrey is extremely professional, punctual, prompt in his responses and more than willing to provide an explanation or a follow-up check up. While installing he was very calm, cool and collected. No challenge was too big for him to overcome. He is more than a simple installer rather his work ethic shows him to be smart, well educated in his line of work, knowledgeable and extremely focused on good customer service . Our air conditioner broke down even causing electrical breakers to flip. Called Quick Cool and same day squeezed us in late in the evening, fixed everything up, maintained it to be better in future, as helping us understand what went wrong. Awesome service.Answer from pro:
