    Josh takes your needs into account and truly fights for them. He is a very thoughtful guy and it shows in his work. I'd absolutely recommend him.

    General contractor service: Extension; Semi-detached house
    Josh and the team at JG Contracting delivered a finished product that we’re really happy with. The space turned out beautifully and we’re pleased with the final result. Josh is friendly and clearly motivated to grow his business and continue developing in the field. Like any renovation, there were some challenges along the way, but we appreciated the effort that went into bringing the project to completion. Wishing him continued success as he builds out his work.

    Josh was able to navigate some unexpected issues that arose during the project and the finished product was excellent.

    Install laminate floor: Replacement; 600 sq ft
    ⸻ We recently had JG Contracting remove our old carpet and install new flooring. The process went smoothly overall, and the team kept good communication from start to finish. Pricing was fair and the workmanship was excellent. We’re very happy with the final result and would definitely recommend them to others.

    Kitchen Renovations
    Josh was very communicative and proactive in making sure the job went well. He provided quotes on a very timely basis. We were first convinced to hire him and his team based on how fast and detailed he could provide a quote. He was able to find materials and prices that fit into our budget. He was also very responsive to our changes. Overall I would recommend JG Contracting as a renovation company.

    Efficient, timely, honest and fair

    I found Joshua through HomeStars. From the first interaction when he came to see the the property to seeing the project to completion, Josh was an effective communicator, efficient and timely. He fought with my insurance to get a higher amount to meet the demands of the repairs from a basement flood. He was very professional in all the communications and easy to discuss the projects and timelines. The basement repair (~800 sq feet) was completed in 1.5 weeks! Would be delighted to have Josh come back for more home projects.

    Basement renovation and repairs

    We had a basement flood in July 2024. After struggling with insurance to provide a contractor, we agreed to a cash settlement and connected with Josh to complete the work which consisted of: 1) change floors in our basement 2) replace drywall 3) install heated floors 4) painting 5) change basement vanity and repairs We found Josh through Homestars where he had good reviews but we were still skeptical. Josh quickly put our skepticism to rest. While very basic, we heard horror stories about contractors disappearing for months. Each day he would commit to a time he would arrive and he stuck to that. He also provided us all our options for our repairs and renovations across different price points and never pressured one way or another. He is honest and reliable and the workmanship speaks for itself. It was all top notch and our basement is now our favourite room in the house.

    Full bath, full kitchen, full mini kitchen, loving room and outside siding

    Josh came down on a holiday for quote. His work ethic never wavered. He fully communicated everything he was doing, had great respect for our living conditions during the process and had a high level of workmanship that he adhered to. We made several changes throughout our reno and he was always accomodating and made great suggestions. We will definitely be asking him to come back for further work.

    Bathroom and Condo

    We first found JG contracting on Homestars and we are so glad we did. You hear some horror stories about contractors so we were nervous about choosing the right one for us. Josh has come to our home on separate projects. His work is superb. Our condo needed some work and Josh easily understood our vision for the space and even shared some great ideas of his own. He began bringing it to life. He and his team were on time and prepared with the tools needed and drop cloths to keep it as neat as possible during the work. Each day he kept us updated on the progress and answered any of our questions. To be honest we had very few questions as he and his team knew exactly what they were doing and worked confidently. His pricing was fair and his goal was to make us happy with our renovation Josh and his team are highly skilled, have great work ethic, and are polite. We have recommended him to our friends. Knowing a good contractor is such a blessing and we wont hesitate to call Josh at JG Contracting for our next project.
