I received a positive lab test from Safeway for asbestos in my house that was never actually completed by the lab listed on the test.
I put up a job for plaster repair. Safeway expressed interest in it. Unexpectedly, an employee showed up at my house rather than the person I was originally in contact with. He was unable to answer any questions, or provide much of any info, and began taking an asbestos sample, despite the fact that I never asked for one. I agreed to it in the end. The lab test came back positive. I then conducted asbestos tests throughout my house with another contractor and lab. Strangely, the tests all came back negative, including another test of the exact same spot Safeway tested. When I called the lab that conducted Safeway's test, they claimed that the job number on my test did not exist in their system. They later confirmed after reviewing Safeway's "test" that they never completed it. Safeway did not respond to my email when I asked them about this.
