thousands$$$$ of dollars in damages left by Poly B Guys (Tyler)

Saved up and waited 19 years to renovate, so excited to give our home a makeover, bought all new appliances, not 2nd hand, or as is, they are brand new undamaged appliances, fridge, stove, dishwasher, washer, dryer. Had Poly B Guys out after reading all the reviews decided to trust them give them a shot. Job started Oct 30 to Nov 7, Tyler was the 1st guy out here to "prep," he put up zero dust barriers, minimal carpet protection, my hardwood was not properly covered and now is full of scratches, my hardwood needs to get refinished (not in our budget), basement stairs where left uncovered even after I asked Tyler to cover them because we were not replacing that carpet on them and are now ruined! Tyler never listened to me and now we have to replace the carpet on the basement stairs which was not in our budget either. My brand new fridge that had zero scratches or dents on it, now has 3 doors damaged, 2 doors are scratched and dented and one gouged bad. I showed Tyler and he said "it wasn't me, I have no idea how that happened", even though he was the only one working around my fridge w/ a ladder right in front of it for days. I got a quote for my appliances where I purchased them and they said for 3 doors to be replaced at $588 EACH because they are not able to repair them! I mentioned this to Dean and I got a "oh sorry, we don't do business like that and try not to destroy peoples home, and we don't pay for damages as per contract! I was told they were going to bring Tyler in on the following Monday, not to fire him only give him a "talking to". Tyler has cost me thousands$$$$ in damages and still employed w/ Poly B Guys! If you get a Tyler in your house, tell him to get out immediately or watch him the whole entire time, put camera's in your house, he has zero respect for your home and anything in it. I came home from doing errands and Tyler was SITTING on my brand new dryer which now has a dent on the top, many scratches and now doesn't work and have a service guy coming out to repair that! We have sagging pipes that were left way to long in the basement and not secured to the joists and are hanging below the ceiling and we have drywallers here now and need to get in a plumber to fix before we can drywall! All the drywall was left in piles all over the house, we had to call them to come and get it. We agreed to re-drywall the ceilings and they would repair any holes in the walls, they left us w/ all the holes in the walls and repaired nothing, again more expense to us! Dean did agree to a whopping $500 off the bill (which doesn't even remotely cover all the damages that have been done!) which was not taken off the final invoice, we had to squabble about. The other 2 workers that where here were polite, worked all day long, Tyler would come late and leave early, telling me he had to go buy a truck, the next day had to go do some errands for his truck, then the next day he had to leave early for something else. He will talk your ear off instead of working, even after you walk away to a different room he's still talking about nothing. I am deeply saddened, frustrated about my damaged appliances and absolute mess left by Poly B guys. I would not recommend The Poly B Guys ever!!

Poly b replacement, new hot water tank and water softener.

I asked Poly b plumbing for a quote to replace the poly b pipes in our newly purchased home. There was some back and forth on what extras were wanting and they made a suggestion of replacing shower controls while they were open to the back. Great idea! Poly b sent and agreement with the agreed upon work and equipment that was going to be installed. A plumber showed up with his helper not a Poly B plumbing truck but a contractor to Poly B. They did a great job replacing pipes. When I came to the new hot water tank, they didnt install the Brand agreed upon. Talked with the plumber and he convinced me that this was a better brand and it was just as good. Ok thats where I should have stopped and said no. Install what was in the agreement. 5 months have passed and my wife and I got talking about the size of hot water tank we had. I told her it was a 60gal because we wanted to go with tankless but there was no room for the ductwork and it would pass code inspection. Anyway we argued a bit more and I went and looked at the tag on the tank, sure enough she was correct! It was a 50 gallon. I looked back at the agreement and it was listed as a 60gallon. Then found the invoice and saw it was changed to a 50 gallon. The agreement price was the same as the invoice price so we had a signed agreement for a 60 gallon tank, a 50 gallon was installed, and I paid for the agreed upon goods and services but never got what I paid for. I called Poly B and explained that I just wanted what was agreed to. The owner called me unreasonable because it had been so long. I explained that I thought it was fraudulent that they would charge me for something I didnt get. After some back and forth with both of us standing our ground he hung up on me. So now I have no other choice but to let the masses know how this company operates. Dont blame the plumber that was sent. He did great work. The company he works for however need a lesson in customer relations and relationships. Follow what was agreed to, or make a change order. Do t just do whatever you this is good enough and think you customers are going to like it.

Excellent Work, Services and Results from the Poly B Plumbing Guys

Just had the Poly B plumbing guys complete the full project to remove the Poly B plumbing in our house and restore our home. I was very impressed with the quality of their work, their excellent services and the great results. From Jack giving us the initial quote, to working with Dean and Stephen to final the service contract, to the best tradesmen I have ever experienced (Doug the plumber, Evan the drywaller and Richard and Dave the painters). Our house has new pex pipe plumbing and looks like it was never touched. If you ever want to replace your Poly B pipes in your home, by a great service company that does excellent work, at a fair price, book the Poly B Plumbing Guys to do this!
