I recently used quickmovers b/c i saw all the good reviews they had. They seem like nice guys but toward the end of day, one guys said; oh you have so much stuff!
So long story short, after about a couple months in the new place the weather was getting hot so i decided to get my air cooler out from storage. I saw that it was heavily damaged. I contacted them to complain that my cooler was not even wrapped in plastic like some of the other things were. I was missing the top part and the vents were all damaged completely. I tried to fix it myself but it is unfixable.
if I take it for repair it would cost me a lot.
they said if i reported it 2 weeks after they moved us then they can compensate but i did not know it was damaged until 2 months after the move.
I messaged them in FB and at one point i thought they were going to help me to some degree.
the guy said i will speak to my supervisor and let you know.
After 2 weeks nothing. I messaged them again and this time they were making all sorts of excuses.
One guy said are you from last year? I remember you. OMG. I checked and they are not even involved with the BBB.
so my experience with them is horrible, in-spite of all the good reviews i have seen. it looks like they will not take responsibility for the damage done to my air cooler. We had been through a hear wave lately and i could not use it and I have bad asthma as well. this has caused me great inconvenience to say the least. I will NOT RECOMMEND Quickmovers ever. At first they seemed really keen on helping me and my son but that is not at all. i asked for even a little compensation but they just ghosted me.
Maybe because i am a minority? I don't know but I have been in Canada for 50 yrs plus. What a big disappointment. not even an I am sorry was offered.
