They needed a lot of babysitting. It started great. They showed up right away and got started, they were eager to do a good job. But then they would tell me they were coming back at a certain time and they wouldn’t show. I would text them at the end of the day and they would tell me they were on their way. They worked from 12-2 in the morning to finish the job I had explicitly told them I needed done two days before (and they said they could do it). And then the job wasn’t great because they were rushed and didn’t have the right products. They also left their pee bottle, and a beer can behind and unhooked my smoke detector (I’m assuming because they were smoking inside). The job got done and I’m mostly happy with their work laying the flooring but I’m less satisfied with the stairs because they were rushing at the end. I’m not sure it would have got done at all if I wasn’t constantly checking in.

DO NOT USE. Would go MIA for days on end. Always some sort of excuse. A leak happened during the repair due to the tarp not being put down properly. He never contacted the bin company to pick-up the bin after and I had to pay for it. Good thing we had held some funds back. He outright lied about it. Update: In response to your message… If maybe you would respond to any of my text messages I have sent and paid the invoice for the bin which you never paid and I sent you, then maybe we can change the rating. As it is right now these are facts, not opinion. This is how reviews work. Dissatisfaction in life 😆. My life is great thank you and we have done numerous renovations in our life. How very professional of you.

It did not proceed. The job was a simple recalling of some skylights. I explained the roof was metal and 45 degree slope. You accepted and set a date for the work to be done for $85/hr. I later explained a 20 foot ladder was adequate to access the roof as it had been so accessed by a professional outfit before. Your man arrived with a fold up ladder he said was inadequate. I doubt he intended to do the job. He said he needed another person to do the job and I agreed. I was then informed that an unspecified number of roof anchors costing $295 each were required. I was then informed that a mechanical lift would also be required. My roof has been easily accessed and worked on before without a lift or roof anchors…but the men were experienced professionals. I could not recommend your firm for metal roof work as a result of this experience. Ryan was however a very nice person.

Very unprofessional service. Never keeps to time and very poor communication. Total abandonment of the site without any communication. I attempted to reach out to him on many occasions and didn't hear back from Harman. A day's job that never got finished even after mobilizing him substantially. I feel scammed and robbed. There are also several similar complaints out there. You hire him at your own peril!

Build shed- 6 May 2025
I hired Doyle Contracting to put down cement and build a shed according to specifications I provided (I have provided a photo of the shed and the copy of the specs I provided. The shed I ordered did not have the cupola on top nor the plant pots, so none of that should in the photos). The work was mostly completed yesterday, but there were some issues with the quality of work around the windows and with the siding on the top edges of the shed. Doyle contracting agreed to take care of that only if I paid them more money. If you look at the photos of the work done and the photos from the specifications though it is obvious the work was not done properly. You can see around the windows in the front and on the edging the quality of work you will get if you hire them. For that reason, I would strongly argue against ever using Doyle Contracting and would find a different company if you ever need any work done.

They were good to respond & came immediately. Requested Sam, to check from inside, in the attic, to see where water was coming from but they weren't interested in doing that. We then climbed the roof and to my surprise they came up with 4 sheets of shingles they were going to replace without first getting approval & without price discussion. Sam replaced where he thought water might have entered from. It was clear they had come with the intent to replace shingles but didnt have all the right tools because the pneumatic hammer to nail the shingles was not working and they had to use a metal rod to nail the shingles. They also used different, reddish colour shingles, compared to existing grey. They charged me $200 & I allowed work, not wanting problems. Maybe what they did was the right solution but they had come with the agenda to replace shingles only, even though i requested them to check & investigate from attic & other place. They should stop forcing the work on customers.
